Mara Justine was born on February 28, 2002 and lives in Galloway, New Jersey. Mara Justine is the fourth of five siblings. She's been singing with her family for as long as she can remember, and her brothers and sisters are her biggest fans. Mara often dedicates her performances to her late grandmother, who was very proud of Mara's talent. 1

Audition[]

Mara Justine's audition in Episode 905 consisted of singing "And I Am Telling You I'm Not Going." Howard Stern, Heidi KlumMel B, and Howie Mandel all simultaneously voted "Yes," sending Mara to Judgment Week.

Judgment Week[]

Mara Justine was sorted into the "Kid Singers" category in Judgment Week. Her performance in Episode 907 consisted of singing Whitney Houston's "I Have Nothing." The judges were so impressed that they opted to send Mara to the Quarterfinals immediately.

Quarterfinals[]

Mara Justine's Week 2 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 911 consisted of singing Katy Perry's "Unconditionally." Mara finished in fifth or sixth place in America's Vote. In the Judges' Choice, Howard SternHeidi Klum, and Mel B all voted for her, sending her to the Semifinals in Episode 912 instead of ACTE II.

Semifinals[]

Mara Justine's Week 1 Semifinals performance in Episode 917 consisted of singing Kelly Clarkson's "Breakaway." Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all gave her a standing ovation. Mara finished in fifth, sixth, or seventh place in America's Vote. In the Snapple Save, Mara received more online votes than both Aerial Animation and David and Leeman, sending her to the Top 12 Finals in Episode 918.

Top 12[]

Mara Justine's Top 12 Finals performance in Episode 921 consisted of singing Pink's "Perfect." Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all gave her standing ovations. However there was a problem with the sound, causing everyone on television to hear an echo throughout the entire performance. Mara did not receive enough votes to be included in the Final 6, eliminating her from the competition in Episode 922 instead of Emily West.

After the Show[]

Mara competed on Season 16 of American Idol, where she was eliminated in the Top 14. She participated in the 24th season of The Voice, originally starting on John Legend's team and was then stolen by Niall Horan for his team in the Knockouts. She advanced all the way to the final where she finished in 3rd place.
