Marc Spelmann was a magician from AGT: The Champions 2. He was eliminated in the Semifinals.
Background[]
Marc is a 2-time participant of Britain's Got Talent. He was a semifinalist on series 12 in 2018, earning the Golden Buzzer from hosts Ant & Dec. The following year, he re-appeared in series 13 as the mysterious persona known as "X". He made it all the way to the finals, where he placed runner-up to 89-year-old singer Colin Thackery.
The Champions 2 Preliminary[]
Marc Spelmann's Preliminary performance in Episode TC202 consisted of performing a magic act in his persona as X, saying "we can all be X if we want to", using a board made up of memorable Got Talent acts from around the world. Each judge chose a letter, symbol, number or color to reveal the judges' faces with the exception of Howie, who was asked to name a favorite past act of his (Season 13 and Champions 1 winner Shin Lim). X revealed himself to be Shin Lim himself as Marc (as the real X) snuck up from behind the judges. Howie Mandel and Alesha Dixon gave him standing ovations, Howie saying he would have pressed the Golden Buzzer for him had Simon not stolen it. Marc received enough votes from the Superfans to advance to the Semifinals instead of Ben Blaque and Oz Pearlman.
The Champions 2 Semifinal[]
Marc Spelmann's Semifinal performance in Episode TC205 consisted of performing a magic routine in his X persona with the assistance of Terry Crews which included mind reading and past experiences. Marc did not receive enough votes from the Superfans to advance to the Finals, eliminating him from the competition instead of Alexa Lauenburger.
