Matt appeared upon 'Penn & Teller: Fool Us fourth episode on it's fourth season, however he failed to fool the duo. In 2018, Matt Johnson appeared on the 12th series of Britain's Got Talent wherein he was eliminated in the 1st day of the Semi-Finals. Additionally in 2018 Johnson auditioned for Italian competition series Tu si que vales wherein he reached the Semi-Finals. In 2019, He appeared on AGT's The Champions rival competition show, The World's Best where he was eliminated in the Battle Round, losing to Chinese daredevil Li Wei. Since 2019 he has toured alongside "The Illusionists".
