Melinda Hill submitted her audition onto YouTube. Although the audition was neither viewable nor votable on the AGT YouTube Channel, Melinda's audition was strong enough for the judges to send her to the Quarterfinals along with eleven other YouTube Acts.

Melinda Hill's Quarterfinals performance in Episode 722 consisted of joking about topics such as knowing to break up with a man when he has not contacted her for five months, changing her Facebook status to "Engaged," and meeting a Customs worker from London criticizing her comedian profession. She did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals, eliminating her from the competition in Episode 723 along with Eric Buss, instead of The Magic of Puck.
