Metal Mulisha Fitz Army was a motocross team from Season 10 of America's Got Talent. It did not appear in the Judge Cuts, but it returned for the Quarterfinals, where it was eliminated. It was then chosen as a Wild Card in the Semifinals, where it was eliminated again.
Background[]
At age 17, Brian Deegan was outfitted with only a credit card, a dirt bike, and an old junk yellow truck. Brian left his hometown of Omaha, Nebraska and set direction to Southern California with dreams of becoming the next big name in motocross. Brian’s skills quickly impressed everyone he encountered, and he soon rode his way onto a Supercross Team. In a pivotal moment in 1997 at the Coliseum in LA, Brian made history and pioneered what is known today as Freestyle Motocross by “ghost riding” his bike across the finish line – astonishing the crowd, stunning the AMA officials, and setting into motion a new breed of competition. Brian was then introduced to Larry Linkogle. Larry was a motocross racer who turned pro at age 15. He quickly got sick of the corporate sport and starting screwing around on his dirt bike with friends. Both Deegan and Larry quickly began to grasp the new concept of Freestyle Motocross (FMX) and from there, the ride just got wilder.
Metal Mulisha started sometime around 1998 or 1999 becoming a top leading brand in the FMX industry. Larry had a near-fatal accident, “Link” made a series of decisions that almost finished him off for good— going down a path of destruction and other behavior that compromised his health, his relationships, and his career. Brian took the lead and began to build the Metal Mulisha brand with other members of the team, Jeremy Twitch Stenberg, Ronnie Faisst, Colin Scummy Morrison, Justin Homan, Tyler Evens, Dan Pastor and Beau Manley.
The evolution of Mulisha became a world take over with the team growing with the best talent around such as Jeremy Lusk, Jeff Ox Kargola, Taka Higashino and many more. Deegan began to take the industry as a whole becoming the most decorated Freestyle Motocross rider in the competition’s history with 13 X-Games medals to his name also conquering the off-road trucking world, taking both Lucas Oil Pro 2 Unlimited and Pro Lite Unlimited Championships, being named Lucas Oil Rookie of the Year in Pro 2 Unlimited, and taking home the 2011 Lucas Oil Driver of the Year (which he also won in 2010). Link began to turn things around, salvaging and strengthening the things that mattered most. Metal Mulisha has grown into one of the most recognized and respected brands in action sports. Metal Mulisha’s winning form in freestyle competitions like the X Games has helped spread the brand’s message to a growing audience around the world. Metal Mulisha speaks the language of nonconformity with distinctive apparel that includes graphic tees, jerseys, boardshorts, fleece, tanks, denim and accessories; and encourages guys and girls to “join the domination” and express their rebellious spirit and daring attitude.
A familiar name at events such as the X Games, Red Bull X Fighters, Rockstar Mayhem Tour, Dew Tour and many more, Metal Mulisha boasts an A TEAM roster of well-known athletes. Metal Mulisha has also formed past partnerships with athletes including MMA fighters Renato “ Babalu” Sobral, Nick and Nate Diaz, Gilbert Melendez, Jason MacDonald and Dan Henderson, as well as metal bands like, Machine Head, Slayer, and Suicidal Tendencies. Audition[]
Metal Mulisha Fitz's Army's audition in Episode 1004 consisted of riding dirt bikes up a ramp and leaping onto another ramp while flying 80 feet in the air. Tricks involved performing hand-stands or letting go of the handle mid-air. Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending the group to the Judge Cuts round.

Quarterfinals[]
Metal Mulisha Fitz Army's Week 3 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1016 consisted of riding dirt bikes up a ramp, then doing tricks in the air and landing on another ramp. Stunts included holding onto the bike by only the handles, letting go of the bike in midair but landing back on it, and full-on backflips. Fitz Army did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 1017, eliminating the group from the competition along with DADitude!, instead of Freelusion. However, they recieved the judges' Wildcard, reinstating the group to the semi-finals.
Semifinals[]
Metal Mulisha Fitz Army returned in the Semifinals as the judges' Wild Card. Fitz Army's Week 1 Semifinals performance in Episode 1018 consisted of riding dirt bikes up a ramp, performing stunts midair and landing on another ramp. Stunts included the leaping over fire and wearing a flaming suit in the middle of a backflip in the air. Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all gave the group standing ovations. Despite the positive reaction, Fitz Army did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Finals in Episode 1019, eliminating the group from the competition along with Mountain Faith Band, instead of Derek Hughes.
Trivia[]
- Fitz Army and Season 13 act Front Pictures are the only two "double wildcards" in the series' history. Both acts were "auto-passes", meaning they were advanced to the quarterfinals bypassing Judge Cuts without receiving a Golden Buzzer, and both received the semifinal wildcards for their respective seasons.
