Mr. Cherry and Chikki were record breakers from Season 16 of America's Got Talent, They were eliminated in the auditions.
Background[]
The duo hail from Japan, with Chikki being Mr. Cherry's sensei. Mr. Cherry's real name is Martin O'Byrne. Mr. Cherry is well known in Japan as he has broken the most Guinness World Records within the country with a total of twenty two. Mr. Cherry was featured upon CBBC's 'Officially Amazing' in the United Kingdom for seven consecutive seasons. Mr. Cherry was also introduced upon several other TV Shows worldwide as he is the first Japanese person to hold the most Guinness World Record titles, surpassing the most famous of Japanese athletes. Mr. Cherry is also a Game Show master, with his attempts to break Guinness World Records seeing him become noticed around the world.
Audition[]
Mr. Cherry and Chikki's audition in Episode 1601 consisted of Mr. Cherry setting the new world record for crushing the most walnuts in 30 seconds. Unfortunately, there was a nut shortage and there were only 63 walnuts. After getting 80 walnuts, he was allowed to perform where he crushed 79 walnuts. Although, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell voted "Yes". Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum voted "No", eliminating them from the competition.
