NU Covenant is a contemporary gospel group that consists of three brothers and one cousin. These young family men have been singing together for years. Willie, Michael, Marc, and Chris are all men of God. Born and raised in Cleve- land, Ohio, NU Covenant are alumni of Cleveland School of the Arts and Cleveland Heights High School. God has blessed NU Covenant to not only sing but play instruments as well. While NU Covenant strives to serve God in every way possible, these talented men play for their fathers church, Fair Temple Church of God In Christ, as well as other churches in the city of Cleveland. 1
NU Covenant's audition in Episode 509 consisted of singing "You Make Me Wanna Shout" as a quartet. Sharon Osbourne, Howie Mandel, and possibly Piers Morgan voted "Yes," sending the group to the Vegas Round.
NU Covenant was one of the Standby Acts in the Vegas Round. It was sorted into the "Vocal Groups" category. Its performance in Episode 512 consisted of singing "Ain't Too Proud To Beg." Its audition was strong enough for the judges to send it to the Quarterfinals.
NU Covenant's Quarterfinals performance in Episode 519 consisted of singing "Apologize" as a group. Piers Morgan and Sharon Osbourne both buzzed the act. Sharon felt that the group's harmonies were out of tune. Howie mentioned that they have talent, but found it very flat. Piers felt that the group chose the wrong song choice. It did not receive enough votes to finish in at least fourth or fifth place in America's Vote, eliminating it from the competition in Episode 520 along with Strikers All Stars, instead of Prince Poppycock.
