In 2004,Susie started teaching salsa classes at the Firehouse YMCA La Jolla. In 2008, Susie created Ooh La La Dance Company: The Hot Tamales and the Cosabellas. Susie led Ooh La La Dance Company on their first international tour to Bora Bora. Over the next seven years, they danced their way through Turks & Caicos, Australia, Bali, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Greece, Egypt, Spain, Morocco, Reunion Island, Mauritius Island, Italy, and Brazil. In 2011, Susie started offering 20 weekly dance classes to the schedule at the Firehouse YMCA La Jolla as students from all walks of life come to burn up the dance floor offering youth camps, dance productions, local festivals and shows. The year ended with a bang with the Grand Opening of Ooh La La Dance Academy. Since the grand opening, Ooh La La Dance Academy has made a name for itself in the San Diego community. The studio flourishes with over 20 talented instructors, youth competition teams, an adult burlesque company, and a wide variety of classes offered for all ages.
Ooh La La Cosabellas' audition was never televised. It is unknown whether or not they were buzzed, but at least two judges voted "Yes", sending the group to the Vegas Round.
Ooh La La Cosabellas were one of the Judges' Favorites in the Vegas Round. They were sorted into the "Dance Acts" category. Their performance in Episode 611 consisted of burlesque dancing as a group. Their audition was not strong enough for the judges to send them to the Quarterfinals, eliminating them from the competition along with LD Dance Company.
