Patrick Kun is a magician from Season 16 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated in the deliberations but returned for the wildcard show where he was eliminated again.

Background[]

Patrick was born and raised in Thailand, however moved to Las Vegas. Patrick has consulted with several major magicians such as David Copperfield, Cyril Takayama & David Blaine. Patrick has been performing magic professionally since 2015.

Patrick is very popular within the magic world and has a following of over eighty thousand people on his Instagram account, almost nine hundred thousand followers and ten and a half million likes on TikTok and almost seven thousand five hundred Twitter followers and as such he uses each of these social media platforms in order to post videos of his tricks. Patrick also retains his popularity in Thailand wherein he is oftentimes the face of magic events.

Patrick also has his own website wherein he sells equipment required for magic tricks such as playing cards, alongside several more items worth of magical accessories. In addition to this, Patrick even sells specialised wallets which can hold playing cards and have a specialised locking system on both of their sides.

In 2014, Patrick worked as a magic consultant on fellow magician Troy Von Scheibner’s show Troy which was broadcast in the United Kingdom on E4 and had previously worked as a graphic designer and an associate creative director in the past.

In 2016, Patrick was invited to perform at the premiere of Now You See Me 2, and was once again able to impress audiences with his performance.

Season 16 Audition[]

Patrick Kun's audition in Episode 1602 consisted of performing a magic trick. Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes", sending him to the next round.

Deliberations[]

Patrick’s card was seen at deliberations but the judges did not select him to advance to the quarterfinals, eliminating him from the competition.

Wildcard Show[]

Patrick Kun was selected as one of five acts competing for the Wild Card. In the Wild Card show, his performance consisted of performing a close-up magic trick with the assistance of Terry Crews. Patrick did not receive enough votes to advance to the Quarterfinals, eliminating him from the competition.

  • Patrick also auditioned in Season 14, however it was never televised.
