Peter Nørgaard was a singing ventriloquist from Season 14 of America's Got Talent. He was eliminated before the Judge Cuts.


Background[]

Peter Nørgaard is a Danish ventriloquist and magician that was assistant puppeteer for Elmo in the first 13 episodes of Sesamgade. Peter auditioned for the role in June 2009 and was trained by Kevin Clash in Copenhagen.

Together with Carolina Lybeck, Peter Nørgaard has created various shows for both children and adults that they tour with around Denmark at various events.

In 2011 he played Nicky in the Danish adaptation of Avenue Q by Fredericia Teater

In 2015 he participated in Denmark Got Talent. He reached the final in 2015 but did not win.

After Denmark Has Talent 2015, Peter Nørgaard was invited to Las Vegas to perform with the winner of America's Got Talent Terry Fator

In 2017 he appeared on the fourth season of the Italian competition series Tu Si Que Vales [1][2]

Audition[]

Peter Nørgaard's audition in Episode 1403 was only briefly seen but it consisted of singing with his dog puppet Charlie. Although the verdict was not televised, Howie Mandel, Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes” sending Peter to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts[]

Peter did not appear in the Judge Cuts round, he was cut prior to this stage of the competition.

After the Show[]

In 2024, Peter auditioned for the seventeenth season of Britain's Got Talent.
