America's Got Talent Wiki

Phil Wright & Parent Jam were a dance group from Season 18 of America's Got Talent. They were eliminated in the Semifinals.

Phil Wright, a choreographer and dancer from Florida, teaches kids of all ages how to express themselves through movement. Born and raised in Miami, Phil began to dance at the age of 9 and has since danced and choreographed for well-known musical artists, including Lil Nas X, Nicki Minaj, Pitbull, Chayanne and Cardi B. In 2017, Phil established his own dance business that specializes in what he calls "The Parent Jam," a style of dance where children and their parents jam out together to timeless music. Once the craze caught fire on social media, Phil Wright Inc. produced a Disney Channel show called "Disney Fam Jam" that features families dancing against each other to win a cash prize. Phil brings his high energy and passion for dance, combined with his love of family, to create a positive learning experience at his dance company.

Phil Wright & Parent Jam's audition in Episode 1807 consisted of performing a hip-hop dance routine to Fleur East's "Sax". Although Howie Mandel voted "No", Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell voted "Yes", sending them to the next round.

The group was chosen to advance to the Semifinals.

Phil Wright & Parent Jam's Semifinals performance in Episode 1814 consisted of performing a hip-hop dance routine to a medley including Boyz II Men's "Motown Philly" and Salt-n-Pepa's "Push It". Howie Mandel buzzed the act, but Simon Cowell gave them a standing ovation. They did not receive enough votes to advance to the top 5 in Episode 1815, eliminating them from the competition instead of Warrior Squad.
