Quatuor Stomp was a comedy acrobat group from Season 11 of America's Got Talent. It was eliminated before the Judge Cuts.

Background[]

Québec circus school, the 12th of October, 2008, in an acrobatics class… It was at that moment that everything got started. As they felt a kindred spirit, they decide to begin creation of an acrobatic act on a table for the upcoming school technical presentations in December. Over the course of these training sessions as the ideas pile up, each more ludicrous than the last, the humouristic side to the group installs itself. Jonathan and his many jokes (we’re still laughing…) William and his follies (and that’s putting it nicely…), Nicolas zoned out (where he goes, we’ll never know…) Antoine with his strict plans (too much so, sometimes…) : Voilà!

It is in February 2009 that they decided to officially work together. Henceforth the Quatuor Stomp goes on to perform in a multitude of diverse events: The proximity to the public during street shows in Québec city (2009), the Just for Laughs festival in Montréal (2009), and the cultural forum in Valparasio, Chili (2010), has brought them a strong sense of appreciation for the crowd. They have also been featured on television for the Enfant Soleil telethon (TVA, 2010) and the popular television program ‘La vie est un cirque’ (TV5, 2010 et 2011). Finally, they have also performed on the big stage at the Turbo Fest (2009), and Clown Cabaret (2010). Most recently they have been featured in the seasonal special event show by Cirque du soleil in Québec city- ‘Le Royaume du Tôle’ (2011).

Today, the four companions continue their performances and joyful escapades in good humour, and intend to continue to do so for a long while yet. [1]

Audition[]

Quatuor Stomp's audition in Episode 1105 consisted of performing an acrobatic routine parodying ballet that included tricks like members jumping through hoops made by touching hands, backflips over other heads, and the members standing on each others' heads. Simon Cowell buzzed the act. Although Simon voted "No", claiming the group resembled clowns, Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Heidi Klum voted "Yes," [2] sending the group to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts[]

Quatuor Stomp did not perform in the Judge Cuts round, meaning it either withdrew or was cut by the judges before this stage of the competition.

After The Show[]

Quatuor Stomp appeared on the fourth season of the Italian competition series Tu Si Que Vales [3]
