Rappin' Granny was a rapper from Season 1 of America's Got Talent. She finished the competition in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10 in the Finals.

Background[]

Rappin' Granny was from Caliac, California. She started rapping because she couldn't stand hearing her family listen to rap. Her grandkids played it all the time, and her son was a DJ. Because they were driving her crazy, she began rapping herself.

Audition[]

Rappin Granny's audition in Episode 101 consisted of rapping about herself. Piers Morgan, Brandy Norwood, and David Hasselhoff all voted "Yes", sending Granny to the Semifinals.

Semifinals[]

Rappin' Granny's Week 3 Semifinals performance in Episode 108 consisted of rapping a song about kneeling to her, a queen. Piers Morgan, Brandy Norwood, and David Hasselhoff all gave Granny "✓" votes. The judges chose Rappin' Granny as their Week 3 pick to move onto the Finals that same episode without being voted on by America.

Finals[]

Before her performance, Rappin' Granny was guided by celebrity coach Master P. Granny's Finals performance in Episode 114 consisted of rapping about being old and bold and it being "Granny Time." She also briefly danced. Although Piers Morgan gave her an "X" vote, Brandy Norwood and David Hasselhoff both gave Granny "✓" votes.

Finale[]

At the finale, Rappin' Granny was eliminated from the competition in Episode 115 after it was revealed that the she finished the competition in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10.
