Ryan Stock and AmberLynn were a sideshow duo from Season 11 of America's Got Talent. They were eliminated in the Quarterfinals. Ryan and AmberLynn returned for America's Got Talent: The Champions, where they were eliminated in the Preliminaries. The sideshow duo returned for the third time in Season 16, called on by Simon to prank the other judges.

Background[]

Ryan Stock became fascinated with magic at an early age and quickly developed his skills as a magician. He soon graduated from simple tricks to performing amazing feats like fire-eating and fire-breathing. He has an extraordinary control over his body, allowing him to swallow swords, insert objects into and through his nasal cavities, demonstrate unusually high pain tolerance and much more. Ryan performs "stupid human tricks" and "super human stunts" with a comedic flare that cannot be duplicated. He is regarded as having one of the largest repertoires of unusual skills in the world.

While he's featured in several viral internet videos that have been linked, liked and viewed millions of times, he has also appeared on television and in print around the world for over 15 years. He was "Rupert" in The Jim Rose Twisted Tour (Travel Channel 2003) where he demonstrated his skills in close up magic, juggling and dangerous stunts such as balancing lawnmowers on his face and even escaping from chains underwater. Ryan Stock was also the star of his own award winning TV series for 3 seasons (Guinea Pig, Discovery Channel 2007-2009). Ryan performed increasingly dangerous stunts and experiments while collecting data in the name of science, he was seen testing police tasers, pepper-spray, and rubber bullets, and even getting bit and stung by insects, scorpions and snakes. Ryan has been dubbed the "Comedy Daredevil" for his off the wall and unforgettable stunts that incorporate strange objects like toasters, chainsaws, hooks, and hangers. He has performed in over 30 countries, been on several major networks and even performed on Ellen and The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. His stunts aren't just impressive, they're record setting, with multiple entries in the Guinness Book of World Records and accolades from Ripley's Believe It or Not!

Ryan Stock performs live with his ever present partner AmberLynn Walker. Their live show has received several five star reviews in international theatre festivals and collected thousands of fans in nightclubs and comedy clubs around the world. You don't have to take our word for it, in the words of Ellen Degeneres "You have to see it for yourselves." [1]

Ryan Stock and AmberLynn competed on the short-lived 2008 version of The Gong Show, where they came in 3rd on their episode, losing to Style Proz Crew.

Audition[]

Ryan Stock and AmberLynn's audition in Episode 1101 consisted of Ryan sticking scissors into his nose hole. They next took a solid steel meat hook, sharpened at one end with a handle on the other side, and hooked it through Ryan's nose and out his mouth. From the handle, AmberLynn attached first a weight and then a rope suspended from the ceiling. Heidi Klum buzzed the act. Although Heidi voted "No," Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Simon Cowell voted "Yes," sending the duo to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts[]

Ryan Stock & AmberLynn's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1109 consisted of putting a blowtorch out on his tongue, balancing a chainsaw blade on his teeth, and finally sticking a running long drill down his throat. Ryan & AmberLynn's performance was strong enough for the judges to send the duo to the Quarterfinals instead of Ian Stewart and Mason Bumba.

Quarterfinals[]

Ryan Stock and Amberlynn's Week 2 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1113 consisted of performing in a "1970s" style house with the song "Sunshine Lolipop" in the background where Ryan swallowed a curved knife. Next, Ryan swallowed a lamppost with a target which AmberLynn was supposed to shoot with a flaming arrow. Unfortunately, AmberLynn was unable to shoot on point due to a malfunction of the equipment (although the laser sight was on target, the notch holding the arrow broke and sent the arrow sideways [2]) and shot Ryan near his neck; Ryan was later revealed to be medically clear, though as a result of the mishap, Amberlynn did receive much unpleasant teasing for the incident, such as one man creating a meme stating with a seemingly dissappointed tone, "She had one job... one job." above the photo of Ryan being shot in the neck by the flaming arrow. Ryan and AmberLynn did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 1114, eliminating the duo from the competition along with Flip, instead of Sofie Dossi.

After Season 11[]

In 2017, Ryan Stock & AmberLynn appeared on the fourth season of the Italian competition series Tu Si Que Vales. [3]

The Champions Preliminary[]

Ryan Stock and AmberLynn returned for The Champions.  Their performance in Episode TC03 consisted of Ryan setting off a mouse trap on his tongue and then letting AmberLynn smash his head pressed up against a cinder block. Afterwards AmberLynn lit an arrow on fire and shot it at a target across the stage in Ryan’s mouth which was a successful re-attempt of their quarterfinal performance from Season 11.  Howie MandelMel BHeidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all gave them standing ovations.  Ryan Stock and AmberLynn did not receive enough votes to advance to the night's Top 3, eliminating them from the competition.

Season 16 Return[]

Ryan Stock and AmberLynn's performance in Episode 1604 consisted of a "comedy danger act". It first featured Ryan and AmberLynn each shooting a balloon from their mouths with a crossbow. For the finale, Ryan had Simon stand in front of the target with a balloon over his head, while AmberLynn had Sofia blindfold herself to shoot the crossbow at the balloon held over Simon's head. However, in a comedic twist Ryan with the help of the crew had Simon fake getting an arrow in the gut to make it look like Sofia shot him. This was mainly an exhibition act organized by Simon to prank Sofia and as such not considered an official audition.

Trivia[]

  • Ryan Stock and AmberLynn's performance video had received over 1 million views prior to their results show, likely due to the publicity of the mishap.
  • Ryan Stock and AmberLynn and Alexandr Magala are the lowest ranked AGT acts to compete on the first season of The Champions, being the only ones that originally went out in the Quarterfinals.
  • Ryan and AmberLynn in Season 16 was the second televised act to be a prank on the judges by another main member (Simon pranking Sofia), the first being when Nick Cannon disguised himself as Larry the Mime in Season 9.
