Background[]

Sam Morril is from New York City, New York.

In 2011, Sam won The Laughing Skull Comedy Festival in Atlanta and was named one of Comedy Central’s “Comics to Watch.” More recently, Sam has been seen on Comedy Central’s Adam Devine’s House Party, “Conan” on on TBS twice, and is a regular on Fox News’ “Red Eye.”

He has also been on Last Comic Standing (where he was eliminated in the first round), @Midnight, and Inside Amy Schumer. Sam recorded his debut album on Comedy Central records, which went to #1 on iTunes and made numerous top 10 lists. He also released his very own half-hour Comedy Central special.

Sam is regularly seen at The Comedy Cellar in New York City, and some other clubs. He even pops into those "pretentious indy hipster" shows, and is regularly on the road hitting new cities. [1]

Audition[]

Sam Morril's audition was never fully televised, but it consisted of him joking about farting in an elevator. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon Cowell all voted "Yes", sending Sam to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts[]

Sam Morril's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1109 consisted of joking about his girlfriend wanting to have kids and how he would be honest to his kid if he wanted to join the NBA. He proceeded to talk about meeting women on the road and his experience dating a hoarder. Finally, he talked about being ashamed about finding certain women attractive. Sam's performance was not strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals, eliminating him from the competition along with Ryan Beard, instead of Tape Face.
