Season 20 of America's Got Talent is set to premiere on May 27, 2025. Howie Mandel, Simon Cowell, and Sofia Vergara will all return as judges, along with Terry Crews who will return as host. Mel B will make her return as a judge on the main series, replacing Heidi Klum.

Each act that performed in front of the judges was given 2 minutes to demonstrate their talents for the judges. If an act received at least three "Yes" votes from the judges, they were accepted to the next round. Otherwise, they were eliminated from the competition.
