Sebastian & Sonia is an aerial duo from Season 19 of America's Got Talent.
Background[]
The duo consists of Sebastián Jiménez and Sonia Moreno. Sebastián is from Colombia while Sonia is originally from Spain.
Sebastián followed Sonia on Instagram in 2022, however she didn’t follow him back. The following year in 2023, the duo met in person for the first time at a dance class and a few months after their first in person meeting the pair began dating one another. The duo aspire to both have their own show and to work in Las Vegas. The pair hope that their performance on AGT can change the both of their lives and careers for the better.
Audition[]
Sebastian & Sonia's audition in Episode 1905 consisted of performing an aerial routine on straps to JVKE's "Golden Hour". All 4 judges voted "Yes", sending them to the next round.
Deliberations[]
The duo was selected to advance to the Quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals[]
Sebastian & Sonia's Quarterfinal performance in Episode 1915 consisted of Sebastian performing a solo aerial routine to Shawn Mendes' "In My Blood" as Sonia was sidelined due to an injury sustained during their rehearsal. Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Simon Cowell all gave him standing ovations. Moved by their courage, Simon hit the Golden Buzzer, sending the duo directly to the Final.
