Silhouettes were a shadow play dance group act from Season 6 of America's Got Talent. They finished the competition in second place. Silhouettes returned for AGT: The Champions 2 where they finished in the Bottom 5 of the Top 10.

Background[]

The Silhouettes, created, directed and owned by Lynne Waggoner-Patton was first formed in March 2009. Also the owner of Rocky Mountain School of Dance & Performing Arts, Inc. Lynne was asked to create a show using photographs, shadows and dance that would make the audience remember Colorado. Thus, The Silhouettes were formed. A Denver-based entertainment company saw the news coverage from the March 2009 event and asked to book the group for corporate clients.

Although shadow work is centuries old, Lynne Waggoner-Patton offers a new standard by creating photo overlay where the dancers create a shape and the photograph of the shape appears on the screen. The Silhouettes have raised over $50,000 for homeless children in the United States through their performances and strive to continue to achieve their goal of helping children around the world.

Rocky Mountain School of Dance & Performing Arts, Inc. in Arvada, Co is the official home of The Silhouettes. In October 2010, The Silhouettes were asked to attend an audition for America’s Got Talent Season 6. 1
