Background

SIRO-A is a seven member Japanese entertainment performance group from Sendai, Japan. Their name SIRO-A (SIRO = White, colorless in Japanese) means "belonging to no group, impossible to define as anybody." SIRO-A fuses mime, groundbreaking visual effects, and a techno soundtrack to create a whole new entertainment "Technodelic & Visual Show."

The group was formed in 2002 in Sendai. Following their success at Venezia Young Art Performance in 2004, they received the Bronze Award at GEISHA#7 the next year.

In 2008, they performed at AMUSE 30th anniversary memorial project, “Tokyo Theater FES `08” as representation from Sendai and won second place. In 2010, they performed at “Summer Sonic 2010”, which was followed by their performance to 30,000 people at “Expo 2010 Shanghai China”.

In 2011, SIRO-A won the prestigious “Spirit of the Fringe” Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival, and received international media exposure. Their international success was followed by their first European tour in German, Denmark, Austria, and France 2012. In 2013, they performed in the long-running Leicester Square Theatre in London. Guest judge Piers Morgan loved the group so much that he pressed the Golden Buzzer, sending Siro-A straight to the Quarterfinals.

Quarterfinals
