Steven Brundage's audition in Episode 1106 consisted of placing an unsolved Rubik's cube slowly into a paper bag. After he snapped his fingers and reached back into the bag, the cube was solved. He then invited Simon Cowell to privately mix up a Rubik's cube. 30 seconds later, Steven mixed up a plain Rubik's cube to match Simon's cube exactly. Howie Mandel, Mel B, Heidi Klum, and Simon all voted "Yes," sending Steven to the Judge Cuts.

Judge Cuts[]

Steven Brundage's Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1108 consisted of appearing to solve a mixed Rubik's cube just by tossing it in the air. Next, he had guest judge Reba McEntire hold a cube on her palm. He then invited Heidi Klum to name a random card. Steven ripped a corner off the card. Finally, the ripped piece was revealed to be in a corner piece of the cube. Heidi gave him a standing ovation. Steven's performance was not strong enough for the judges to send him to the Quarterfinals, eliminating him from the competition instead of Julia Scotti.

Steven Brundage was one of the two acts who returned to the Quarterfinals as a Wild Card. Steven's Week 2 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1113 consisted of first having Simon Cowell watch a large, mixed Rubik's cube. Next, he had Heidi Klum roll a six-colored die and cover the die after she rolled it. Next, Mel B named a different color than was on the top. Next, from a paper bag, Steven grabbed a Rubik's cube with one solid side of the color of the top of the die and then Mel B's choice. Next, he had Howie Mandel randomly mix a cube that then matched a cube from behind Steven's back. Finally, Steven revealed that the two recently matched cubes were identical in mixed color to the large cube Simon observed at the beginning of the performance. Howie, Mel B, Heidi, and Simon all gave Steven standing ovations. Steven received enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 1114 along with Viktor Kee.

Steven Brundage's Week 2 Semifinals performance in Episode 1119 consisted of displaying a tower of 204 Rubik's cubes with four holes on the stage. Next, Steven solved mixed Rubik's cubes both two-handed and one-handed behind the back. Next, he had host Nick Cannon select a playing card (naming Brad Pitt) from a deck of cards with the names of celebrities on them. Next, Steven had each of the judges mix up their own Rubik's cubes. Finally, Steven inserted those cubes into the tower of cubes and revealed the back of the tower to display a cube-built picture of Brad Pitt. Steven finished in fourth, fifth, or sixth place in America's Vote. In the Dunkin' Save, Steven received fewer online votes than Sofie Dossi. In the Judges' Choice, although Mel B and Simon Cowell voted for him, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum did not forcing a tiebreaker; whichever act had received more votes from America would progress. Steven received fewer votes than Viktor Kee eliminating him from the competition in Episode 1120.

Steven Brundage was grouped with Viktor Kee during both the second Quarterfinals results episode and the second Semifinals results episode.
