Sven & Vanessa were a acrobat duo from Season 12 of America's Got Talent. They had to withdraw from the competition after one of the members got injured.
Background[]
Sven & Vanessa are from Berlin, Germany. They won the Young Star (age under 20) award at the Young Stage Festival in May 2010. They have also won the Benissimo Artist Award, a special prize for the Benissimo TV Show in Switzerland. They have also won the Memo Media Sprungbrett award in July 2010, for being the best act of the graduates of Berlin's State Circus School and the Silver prize at the 3rd International Circus Festival in Hanoi, Vietnam in August 2010. Audition[]
Sven & Vanessa's audition in Episode 1202 consisted of performing a hand balancing routine, including having Sven perform balancing poses on top of Vanessa. Although Simon Cowell voted "No," Howie Mandel, Mel B, and Heidi Klum, voted "Yes," sending the duo to the Judge Cuts.
Judge Cuts[]
Sven & Vanessa did not perform in the Judge Cuts round because Sven got an injury in his left leg and they were unable to compete.
