Tessie the Tortoise

Tessie the Tortoise was a tortoise act from Season 10 of America's Got Talent. It was eliminated in the audition round.

Background[]

Tessie is the resident Sulcata tortoise at the Kentucky Reptile Zoo. Tessie is a busy, athletic tortoise with a healthy appetite.[1]

Audition[]

Tessie the Tortoise's audition in Episode 1005 consisted of Tessie's owner holding a strawberry in front of Tessie to convince Tessie to move through an obstacle course. Unfortunately, Tessie failed to respond to the strawberry from what was assumed to be shyness. Howard Stern, Heidi Klum, Mel B, and Howie Mandel all buzzed the act. All four judges voted "No," eliminating Tessie from the competition.
