The Boys On Q - Nathaniel, Daniel and Gabriel are three teen brothers who perform as a musical band. The Boys were fortunate to be on 2012 seasons America’s Got Talent performing before millions on television. The Boys On Q were also selected to perform at New York City ING Marathon twice.
The Boys were also privileged to be featured on MY9 Television, after performing in the McDonalds Gospelfest finals. The McDonalds competition was held at the Prudential Center where the boys performed before 18,000 people. The boys were fortunate to perform a second time at the Prudential the following year also. These versatile brothers create amazing music with their mix of infectious, Pop hooks, mixed with Rock and hip hop swag. Song like Tonight are just an indication of what is to come.
In 2009, the group was formed when Nathaniel and Daniel were preparing for McDonald’s Gospelfest talent competition. The director mistakenly read and announced their name as “The Boys On Q” Instead of “The Boys From Queens, NY”. The name stuck with them from that time. Shortly after that performance at the Prudential Center, Nathaniel and Daniel added their little brother Gabriel as the drummer for the band.
The Boys each carry unique strengths and personalities that fuses together to create an incredible mix.
Nathaniel, sings and plays keyboards or electric bass as needed. He also plays the electric guitar and drums. He is the musical mastermind, responsible for creating the musical arrangements for the many of the songs the boys perform.
Daniel also sings, plays the drums, keyboards, bass guitar and saxophone. Much of the lyrics of their songs come from his creative brilliance. Much of what Daniel writes comes from his outstanding ability to observe his environment and translate it to mind-blowing lyrics.
Gabriel brings a remarkable balance between Nathaniel and Daniel. He is a rock solid drummer that plays infectious beats for his age. He plays a key role in the recording and marketing of the music. He has a sharp business mind and pays close attention to the details of the business.
The Boys on Q's audition in Episode 703 consisted of one of its members playing the guitar, another playing the drums, and the third running up to the drums and drumming on the cymbals with his hands before playing air guitar next to the guitarist. Howard Stern, Sharon Osbourne, and Howie Mandel all buzzed the act. Sharon and at least one other judge voted "No", eliminating them from the competition.
