Background

The Fault Line is a five-person a cappella group based in Albany, NY, that takes traditional a cappella and "smashes it against the wall." The remains are rebuilt into The Fault Line's funky musical style for all the world to enjoy. These five musicians come from a variety of musical experiences, but are drawn together with a passion to bring funk and soul to the a cappella world. 1

Vegas Round

The Fault Line was sorted into the "Music" category during the Vegas Round. The group's performance in Episode 205 consisted of singing and beatboxing "Every Little Thing She Does is Magic." Its audition was strong enough for the judges to send it to the Semifinals in Episode 206.

Semifinals

The Fault Line's Semifinals performance in Episode 208 consisted of singing and beatboxing "The Way You Make Me Feel." The group's members did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Top 10, eliminating them from the competition in Episode 209.

After the Show

Adam Lee Decker, one of the members of The Fault Line, returned to compete as a soloist on Season 3, but it is not known how he did. His audition was not televised.
