The Great Throwdini was a knife thrower from Season 2 of America's Got Talent. The act was eliminated in the Vegas Round.

Background[]

The Great Throwdini, (The Rev. Dr. David R. Adamovich) is a retired professor and minister from Freeport, New York, a professional knife thrower (impalement artist), world champion, and multiple world record holder. He is the only knife thrower to perform the Veiled Double Wheel of Death (2 assistants / paper veil). He was a recipient of the Merlin Award from the International Magicians Society. He has set or broken 38 World Records, including "One of the Top 100 Guinness World Records of All Time." He was titled the Most Illustrious President of Parent Assembly #1, Society of American Magicians (2013/14).1

Audition[]

The Great Throwdini's audition in Episode 204 consisted of throwing knives at a board which his assistant was standing in front of, wearing a blindfold and a bag over his head. Piers Morgan buzzed the act after one of the knives failed to stick in the board. Although David Hasselhoff voted "No," Piers and Sharon Osbourne both voted "Yes," sending the act to the Vegas Round.








Vegas Round[]

The Great Throwdini was sorted into the "Variety" category during the Vegas Round. His performance in Episode 205 consisted of throwing knives at a board which his assistant was standing in front of. Of the many knives thrown, one of the knives failed to stick into the board. His audition was not strong enough for the judges to send the act to the Top 35 shortlist, eliminating it from the competition along with Christian Atayde Stoinev.
