The Players Club was a dance group from Season 1 of America's Got Talent. It was eliminated without performing in the Semifinals.

Background[]

Players Club was established in 1996 by Edward L. Nelson. While attending Monsignor Scanlan Highschool, 30 young men and women came together under the leadership of Mr. Nelson, one of the greatest step teams in history. Immediately after the team was created, The Players won 20 out of 22 championships in a time span of two years. During their sudden rise in popularity, Players began an outreach to the community to save lives of students and struggling teens. In this process, the definition of Players was born: Participate in the Lives Among Youth to Educate and Restore Society." [1]

They describe step dance as using their hands, feet, and body to make sounds.

Audition[]

The Players Club's audition in Episode 103 consisted of performing a step dance routine. Piers Morgan buzzed the act. Although Piers voted "No," Brandy Norwood and David Hasselhoff both voted "Yes," sending the group to the Semifinals.

Semifinals[]

The Players Club was one of five acts eliminated by the judges from the competition in Week 1 of the Semifinals without performing in Episode 104.
