The Sentimentalists were a mentalist duo from Season 14 of America's Got Talent. They were eliminated in the Judge Cuts, but returned as a wildcard in the Quarterfinals, where they were eliminated again.

Audition[]
The Sentimentalists' audition in Episode 1406 consisted of Mysterion asking the audience to draw images of random objects onto slips of paper. For the first mental trick, they correctly predicted that Gabrielle Union drew a tree. For the second trick they had all the drawings put in a wind box in which Terry Crews entered and randomly chose one. The duo successfully drew a heart on paper which matched the one Terry chose and then also guessed that someone in the audience by the name of Chelsea had drawn it. Before the final verdict, Mysterion had Simon Cowell guess a celebrity and Steffie correctly guessed it to be Lassie. Although Howie Mandel voted "no," Gabrielle, Julianne Hough and Simon voted "yes," sending The Sentimentalists to the Judge Cuts.
Judge Cuts[]
The Sentimentalists' Judge Cuts performance in Episode 1407 consisted of correctly predicting an image Brad Paisley selected from his phone as well as the colors of marbles picked by each of the judges. Gabrielle Union, Julianne Hough, and Simon Cowell gave the duo standing ovations. Their performance was not strong enough for the judges to advance to the Quarterfinals eliminating them from the competition instead of Lukas & Falco. However, they were chosen as one of the Quarterfinal Wild Card acts, reinstating them into the Quarterfinals.
Quarterfinals[]
The Sentimentalists' Quarterfinals performance in Episode 1413 consisted of a routine involving the judges' senses and sweet treats. However, a mishap occurred during the act and Steffie was forced to remove her blindfold to correctly guess which treat Julianne Hough was eating. They did not receive enough votes to advance to the Semifinals in Episode 1414, eliminating them from the competition instead of V.Unbeatable.
After the Show[]
The Sentimentalists auditioned for the second season of Canada's Got Talent in 2022 where they were eliminated in the semifinals.
Trivia[]
- Shortly after The Sentimentalists' Quarterfinals performance, Gabrielle Union admitted that Steffie had incorrectly guessed which treat she was eating; Steffie guessed bubble gum, but the treat was actually cinnamon-flavored. [2]
