A burlesque performer and instructor based out of Seattle, Washington, the Shanghai Pearl is known for her extravagant costumes, humor, strip-tease, glamour, and performances.
Currently a soloist, she is a featured guest of the Teatro Zinzanni Seattle and Teatro Zinzanni San Francisco. She has also been featured with the award winning Heavenly Spies, Can Can Castaways, and Glam-O-Rama Girlie show. The Shanghai Pearl is thrilled to combine her love for live music and burlesque as a member of The Blue Velvet Burlesque Revue. She is proud to maintain a positive presence at The Moisture Festival, Burlesque Hall of Fame, Great Boston Burlesque Expo, Seattle Erotic Arts Festival, and the world’s first burlesque convention, TEASE-O-RAMA.
Miss Pearl also travels widely to perform and teach. She performed for New Orleans Burlesque Festival in 2010 and The New York Burlesque Festival in 2011, and has headlined as close to home as Portland, Oregon, and as far away as Paris, France. [1]

The Shanghai Pearl's audition in Episode 408 consisted of dancing in a pink gorilla suit and stripping clothes off. Piers Morgan, Sharon Osbourne, and David Hasselhoff all buzzed the act. All three judges voted "No", eliminating the act from the competition.
