The Wright Kids was a bluegrass band from Season 3 of America's Got Talent. The group was eliminated in the Top 10.
Background[]
The Wright Kids as they auditioned consisted of three members; 12 year-old Sage, 9 year-old Baruch, and 6 year-old Levi.
Sage has musical interests as varied as her musical abilities. She has been playing violin since the age of 3 and performs classical music by composers such as Mendelssohn, Bach, Wieniawski and Bazini. At age 9, Sage became the youngest person to ever win an audition for the Roanoke Symphony's 50 year old youth orchestra. Sage enjoys playing the violin in many different genres, including classical, bluegrass, rock and jazz, to name just a few. She also plays viola, as well as violin parts with her Conner 5 string fiddle. Sage began playing mandolin at age 8. When Sage isn't playing music, she likes to swim and ride her bike for fun. Sage also likes to crochet belts, bracelets and necklaces and share them with younger sister Selah.
Baruch began singing at age 3. He started playing guitar by age of 5 and quickly developed into a strong rhythm guitar player. Baruch plays most of his songs on his Martin D16 but occasionally uses his Martin 000 or Martin Classical Guitar. Success arrived early for Baruch. At age 7, Baruch won Oscar Mayer's Sing The Jingle Be a Star contest and earned a top spot in a national television commercial. The commercial was filmed in Hollywood. Baruch has been playing the banjo for over two years and enjoys a Scruggs style of playing. He plays classical bass in a youth string orchestra. Baruch enjoys swimming and riding his bike. Baruch is also a huge Scooby Doo fan.
Levi began his adventure in music by age 3. Singing at such a young age led to Levi joining Sage and Baruch to form a young singing trio. You Are My Sunshine earned the three top honors at festivals. Levi would move on from You Are My Sunshine to sing Two Little Boys. Levi began playing the bass at age 5. Like Baruch, Levi is a huge Scooby Doo fan. The two enjoy watching the old re runs. Levi has watched numerous documentaries and read countless books on the Titanic. 1
