  • The Semi Finals just ended and we now have our 10 finalists!

    • Well, we're finally going to get the Kodi vs. V.Unbeatable showdown

        Loading editor
    • It's a shame that Alex Dowis didn't make it to the finals. His 9/11 tribute should have been enough for him to make it. He's also very talented and would have brought more variety.

But, looking at the finals now, I really hope V.Unbeatable takes this and wins. I really do think they will.

    • V.Unbeatable will win this season. I will say it now!

    • Shitlouettes manages to make it to 2nd with a patriotic ploy in S6 but Alex can't do the same even though he is miles better. That's American voter logic for you.

    • Season 6 was 8 years ago. not every voter from season 6 returned to vote for 7 and onward.

It's a shame Alex went home over Emanne. But for me the real robbery was Marcin going home. he stepped it up hard last night

When comparing singing acts, DYC going through instead of Emanne would have been quite shocking, so it was better in my opinion to sacrifice the multimedia act.

    • Sick and tired of it all. Tyler and DYC, two medicore acts in terms of musically in the finals purely because of their stories, and Marcin, true master guitarist going home. I went fucking insane after I turned off the TV finding out DYC won over Marcin. I'm done, no, I'm more than done. So much talent gone to waste. And it's not just Marcin I'm upset about, Alex as well, a super unique and talented act who slayed out a 9/11 tribute, deserved better and didn't deserve to be cut out instead of Jackie Evancho 2.0.

All hope is lost. It's Goddamn lost. I'm not watching this shit-ass finals.

      1. Detroit Youth Choir
      2. Benicio Bryant
      3. Ryan Niemiller
      4. Emanne Beasha
      5. Voices of Service
      6. V.Unbeatable
      7. Ndlovu Youth Choir
      8. Tyler Butler-Figueroa
      9. Light Balance Kids
      10. Kodi Lee

      Prediction for the Top 5:

      5. Ryan Niemiller
      4. Detroit Youth Choir
      3. Tyler Butler-Figueroa
      2. Kodi Lee/V.Unbeatable
      1. Kodi Lee/V.Unbeatable

One major reason is cause there were no robbed acts in the semis last year. Last year I could see 5 acts winning the season but this year, I can only see two: Kodi and V.Unbeatable.

    • This finals sucks. V.Unbeatable, Light Balance Kids, Ryan Niemiller, Emanne Beasha, and Ndlovu Youth Choir are the only acts I like that are in the final. We could’ve had original acts like Marcin and Alex in it...but nope instead we just have three vocal groups.

    • PREDICTION

      Bottom 5

      Ryan Niemiller

      Emmane

      Light Balance Kids

      VOC

      NYC

      Top 5

      5. DYC

      4. Benico

      3. Tyler Butler

      2. Kodi Lee

      1. Vikas Unbeatable

    • I need to take another look at our Top 10 to make predictions. right now, after this season I hope Terry stays host for a while, maybe even longer than Nick was.

        Loading editor
    • As it stands, all I can say is this :

      Top 5

      1. Kodi Lee

      2. V.Unbeatable

      3.?

      4.?

      5.?

      Bottom 5

      Emanne Beasha

      NYC

      LBK

      ?

      ?

Benicio & VoS are great singing acts and if they have a great performance, I can see them in the top 5, challenging for the top 3.

Tyler’s story will put him around the 5th spot, maybe a little higher or lower.

DYC will have a harder time because they are competing against another choir and since there are more votes in the finale, the Detroit effect will be lower. They could sneak in the top 5 tho.

If Ryan does bad, he’s a lock for the bottom 5 but since there is not much variety in this finale, a great performance could put him up to the 4th spot (Like Samuel last year where he finished 4th after winning the DS in the semis)

    • I would have had Marcin over DYC, Alex over Emmane, Robert Finley over LBK,  and Chris over VOS  moreso i feel Marina, Bir Khalsa and gonzo should be in the finals. but other than that, i guess it will be an O.K. finals.

        Loading editor
    • So emmane, ryan, ndlovu and LBK are OUT of the running for win, but one may sneak into the top 5. Everything else depends on the other 6.

      As for the other 6....

in the season 13 semifinals all but one act that finished above Courtney was in the other semifinal.

obviously there doing the same thing with Kodi.

so Benicio and Tyler are almost definitley out of the running.

which leaves our four main candidates as....

DYC, Kodi, V.Unbeatable and Voices of Service.

Out of those i believe DYC has the worst chances, VOS is atleast semi-good and they got that whole millitary thing going for them.

But really it's down to Kodi and V.Unbeatable

like i said in season 13 they gave Courtney a weaker night to insure she'd get top 3. But i honestly don't see Kodi being beat out by DYC and VOS.

we'll all see clearer after they perform.

and i'm reluctant to predict because this season might be the one that breaks my streak. my streak of correctly predicting the winner of every reality show i've seen.

but my final pre-finals prediction of the finals results are....

      1. Kodi Lee

      2. V.Unbeatable

      3. Ryan Niemiller

      4. Benicio Bryant

      5. Voices of Service

      6. Detroit Youth Choir

      7. Tyler Butler-Figueroa

      8. Light Balance Kids

      Nine. Emmane Beasha

      10. Ndlovu Youth Choir

So basically the reason Ryan can sneak into Third Place is because Simon  tried to bring down VOS and Benicio to bring up Kodi and possibly DYC. Benicio is gonna float around third or fourth, VOS or DYC will sneak into that final top 5 spot and Tyler has a story, but a story can only take you so far. LBK is like budget Light Balance and Emmane is like Laura Bretan. in the end it comes down to the age old Kodi Lee vs. V.Unbeatable argument and here's my [Shocking] side....

Honestly i never thought i'd say anything like this but.... In my honest opinion, Kodi Lee is better than V.Unbeatable. Zurcaroh didn't win, and V is just worse Zurcaroh, america isn't all that keen on dance groups, they won't win.

I’m gonna have to agree with this one. Not much will agree with us but Kodi > V and Zurcaroh > V , but V is still an amazing dance group and my 2nd personal favorite this year. We’ll have to see who wins because it’s hard to predict

V.Unbeatable wow me every time I see them.  Their dancing is in sync, and their acrobatic stunts are mind-blowing.  I can't wait to see what they have in store for the final and I hope they win the whole thing.

With Kodi, despite his setback, the hype surrounding him and the crowd chanting his name every time, I feel no connection.  His performance in the semis did not convince me that he is destined to win this season, I found his vocal a little pitchy in points and his falsetto off.  He'll have a future regardless, but I just don't know if victory is totally assured for him

    • I'm staying away from Goldderby until the season is over, all they've been doing mostly is pimping Kodi and Emanne

Speaking of BKJ, he said on Talent Recap that he predicts V.Unbeatable to unseat Kodi as the winner

        Loading editor
    • Well I think you can safely say producers underestimated DYC's voting power. My guess is they weren't alarmed by their vote in the quarter finals and they did not think they would be a threat so felt they could give them a reasonable end of journey edit and have them leave with dignity, but obviously the whole of Detroit got behind them, the fact they got ahead of Ryan and Emanne, both acts that have been fan favourites and were clearly going to be in the final from the beginning, demonstrates how much power they have behind them. With Ndlovu, who have a lot of similarities in the final, I doubt producers would've wanted that result. If they were in the yellow zone against either Ryan or Emanne and Alex, I believe they would've gone home. Not saying its undeserved though as I believe DYC gave a great performance this week.]

It is pretty clear the prize is between Kodi and V.Unbeatable, the big question is will the producer favour one of them? Both have reasons for potential producer favour over the other, with Kodi, they could milk a David vs Goliath storyline of the blind autistic guy beating the 'unbeatable' muscular athletic men. With V.Unbeatable, you've got a successful Vegas show right there and they would be the most Vegas worthy winners probably in the history of the show. Both acts would be incredible winners and really would reflect well on the show going forward, I get the feeling producers are going to let the cards fall as they do and create a storyline based on whatever the result is. For that I am expecting both to get favourable running order slots.

Then you have the rest. It's really hard to say who will be third place as you can make a case for most when it comes to that, but I am expecting the top contenders for that to be Tyler, Ryan and Voices of Service, the latter I believe will finish in the top 5 considering how powerful the military vote is. I am expecting those 3 to be in the top 5. Of course we can't count out DYC for a top 5 finish considering their voting power although comparisons to Ndlovu, who are widely regarded as stronger could hurt their vote.

I think that producers like the idea of the choir vs choir in the finals. Also, I listen to Talent Recap interviews after Tuesday’s show and Simon said DYC was his favorite of the night. He loves choirs and huge sob stories so it makes sense that he likes them.

    • It took me long enough. I put it off as much as I can. Now I am going to talk about the Top 10 and their likelihood of winning!

First off, we have our current obvious frontrunner, Kodi Lee. There are a lot of reasons why this guy is the one that most people want to win. His story is inspirational, but his beyond belief voice and his ability to retain that voice quality despite his obvious hardships is inspirational and very appealing. He, unlike a large number of acts on AGT, brings people to tears, myself included and he is also so gosh-darned likeable to boot. The only real problem I have is that a lot of people are really sick to death of singers winning, and honestly I see where people are coming from here, and undoubtedly another singer winning would be unfortunate, but I think in this case, if any singer was to win this year, it would be Kodi and I think most people would be okay with that. He is a frontrunner for a reason and I think has the likeliest chance of winning.

However he isn't a 100% shoe-in, because he has massive competition in the form of V.Unbeatable. They also have achieved frontrunner status and their push to win is the most appealing, especially since no dance group, or frankly any group of more than two people, have ever won AGT which is shocking especially since we are in the shows fourteenth season. These guys are technically impressive and amazing every single time they step on the stage and I think if they truly blaze it come Tuesday night, then their win could be in the bag and they could easily stand a chance. Can V.Unbeatable live up to their name? Well, we are just gonna have to wait and see.

Benicio Bryant has I think an edge in this competition. There are no other singer-songwriters who sing their own originals in competition any more, and this I think could be really appealing to a number of voters. It also helps that the originals that he did perform on the show are technically some of the best OGs we have ever heard on the show and could easily stand up for themselves as songs you would hear on the radio (and would arguably be even better than 90% of the stuff you would hear on the radio, but I digress). He also has the benefit of being young, which has helped Grace VanderWaal and Darci Lynne Farmer in the past, as I think that could really appeal to the young voting demographic as they could easily relate to him.

And then there's also Tyler Butler-Figueroa. There are some people who have compared him unfavourably to Brian King Joseph, and while I do agree that Brian is a technically better violinist than Tyler, I still think that Tyler is pretty damn good for his age and he has a story that could really help him get votes. That being said, I am not sure 100% if he has what it takes to win the whole thing. It would be nice since no instrumentalist has ever won (though Nuttin' But Stringz and William Close came as "close", pun intended, as anyone ever has) and I know this is just kind of a niche thing, but it would be cool to have a winner of AGT share my first name. Honestly, I think that if Tyler knocks it out of the park, the highest he could place is an easy third.

The Voices of Service has the benefit of being nationalistic to the core, which would appeal to the likeminded demographic a lot. That being said, I am not sure if they really stand a chance of making the Top 5, especially with so much competition from so many singing acts this year. I fear they will be lost in the shuffle. Still, I think that if the stars align and they really slay it, maybe they could place 5th, but honestly that's the highest I could see them placing.

This year, we don't have one, but two choirs making the finals for the first time ever. Detroit Youth Choir and Ndlovu Youth Choir. Both are similar in the way that they are choirs who put their own spin and familiar songs, one incorporates a rap flare to them and the other incorporates an African influence. Now because these two acts are so similar, I think there could be vote splitting that could occur between the two and it's really arguable who is the better group. Detroit has the benefit of never being in the Dunkin' Save/Judges' Choice, and Ndlovu has been saved by the judges twice before, so it would stand to reason that DYC has the upper hand but I am not so sure about that. Ndlovu in my mind is the "little act that could" and could appeal to more people if they pull out all the stops for the finale. Could that mean that they break through to the Top 5... eh, I dunno. Again, this is something we are just gonna have to wait and see.

Every year or two, another light-up multimedia act auditions and this year is no exception. Light Balance Kids has the benefit of the name brand recognition of simply one of the best light-up acts the show has ever had with Light Balance, who along with Fighting Gravity and Team iLuminate has come the closest that any of these acts ever had to winning. These kinds of acts are easy crowd pleasers because of how technically impressive they are on the dance and on the technology. That being said, I have seen a fair number of people compare this act unfavourably to LB and there's also the fact that kind of have this stigma of being a sort of Light Balance Lite with their performances not quite striking a core especially in comparison to a lot of other acts this year. They also have an uphill battle since they needed the help of the Dunkin' Save to advance and outside of Sal Valentinetti and Samuel J. Comroe, no DS act has ever appeared in the Top 5 and unfortunately I think that is the fate for LBK. It would be so awesome to have an act like this finally win a Got Talent show of any kind, but I don't think that trend is going to change this year.

In my humble opinion, I think that Ryan Niemiller has an edge. He is the only comedian left and the only comedic act of any kind left in the competition, and this I think is a good thing. This helps him to stand out from the crowd and could garner him some extra votes. There is the fact that he needed the Dunkin' Save to receive a slot in the Finale, but if Samuel J. Comroe taught us anything, it's that if he truly knocks it out of the park, then it's not completely outside the realm of possibility that Ryan could make an appearance in the Top 5. He is also technically one of the funniest comics the show has ever had, and while I am not sure if he really stands a chance to win, we could see him in the Top 5 if he plays his cards right.

And last, but not least, we have Emmane Beasha. While I haven't exactly been singing the praises of her like the majority of people have, I still admit that she is technically a marvel. She's likeable, she is young, she is impressive. She checks all the boxes and could've easily been a frontrunner to take the whole crown. There's just one problem... her appearing in the Judges' Choice is problematic. Let's remember that no DS/JS contestant has ever won the whole thing and only two DS acts have made the Top 5 since the rules change in Season 10. This means that Emmane has a huge mountain to climb, but I think that of all four of the Dunkin' Save/Judges' Choice contestants that are left in the competition, Emanne has the strongest chance of anyone of actuality appearing in the Top 5. I could even see her possibly if the planets align making it in the Top 3, but again she has to battle against the titans that are Kodi Lee and V.Unbeatable to claim her prize and I am not sure if she has what it takes, but again we are gonna have to wait and see.

Basically because of his disability. It's supposed to be about talent and not a story.

        Loading editor
    • Without the disability (once again god bless him) his singing is average. With it it’s good, but like the high notes are just...better than Courtney at least.

V.Unbeatable have better views, more fans, more Vegas worthy content, and are just the most talented act this year that keeps raising the bar.

        Loading editor
    • Even with his disability, he still has a superb singing voice. Without his disability, he would be eliminated probably in the semis, but with the fact that he can do what he can do in spite of his disability is what makes him magical. It's a perfect storm. You can't take anything out of the equation. He is great because of his disability yes, but he is still great.

        Loading editor
    • Get your points, but V.Unbeatable is still better disability or not.

        Loading editor
    • That's an opinion, not a fact. You cannot say for certain which is better and which is not because that's all opinions.

I completely and utterly support V.Unbeatable winning. It would be so great to finally having a dance group/group higher than 2 people win, but I don't think it's as clear cut as most people realize. Again we have to wait and see.

however courtney started getting tons of hate starting the quarter finals (or semi finals, i don’t remember), while with kodi you see people who genuinely dislike him pretty rarely. however i do agree that it still isn’t set in stone kodi might win. his chances are great, but v still has a chance to take the throne

MattTGamingHD wrote: Well I think you can safely say producers underestimated DYC's voting power.

Wasn't saying they didn't want DYC altogether, im saying they had many acts they'd have preferred such as Marcin and Alex.

    • What are people's predictions for the running order?

      My prediction is;

      1. Light Balance Kids 2. Detroit Youth Choir 3. Tyler Butler-Figueroa 4. Emanne Beasha 5. Voices of Service 6. Benicio Bryant 7. Kodi Lee 8. Ryan Niemiller 9. V.Unbeatable 10. Ndlovu Youth Choir

If they aren't favouring either one of Kodi or V.Unbeatable, would make sense to put both before non-similar acts that won't memoryhole them and give them room to breathe, and not give either one the pimp slot.

      My prediction is;

      1. Light Balance Kids 2. Detroit Youth Choir 3. Tyler Butler-Figueroa 4. Emanne Beasha 5. Voices of Service 6. Benicio Bryant 7. Kodi Lee 8. Ryan Niemiller 9. V.Unbeatable 10. Ndlovu Youth Choir

If they aren't favouring either one of Kodi or V.Unbeatable, would make sense to put both before non-similar acts that won't memoryhole them and give them room to breathe, and not give either one the pimp slot.

Not sure I believe that. It would make a LOT of sense for Kodi to be last considering that the finals almost always end with a singer. Plus, Kodi's been hyped up so much that I'd be surprised if he isn't last.

Courtney was hyped to heck last year and she only got the #7 slot performing before Shin (the eventual winner) while Michael Ketterer (5th place, beat Courtney in their results pair) got the pimp slot

Courtney had already been last twice, and the producers were probably able to see that she wasn't getting as many votes as Shin, Zurcaroh, Michael, and BKJ

    • This is my prediction for what is going to happen, in ascending order.

      10. Detroit Youth Choir - This may seem odd to put them here considering their voting power was proven last week. However I get the feeling that outside of Detroit they may struggle for votes being compared to the Ndlovu Youth Choir which is widely regarded as the stronger out of the two, hence why I see them finishing last in the final.

      9. Light Balance Kids - They have had a rocky route to the final with technical issues in the quarters and being in the save in the semis, and in this bunch, as well as the fact they are essentially the same act as Light Balance, the novelty has kind of worn off and they don't stand out as much in this final.

      8. Ndlovu Youth Choir - As mentioned, I believe the choir supporters will shift their support towards Ndlovu, which could give them a voting boost that they need, especially as they got here via the judges save in both live shows. But taking that into account I doubt they can place any higher than eighth.

      7. Emanne Beasha - After being in the judges save last week, I am expecting her to have a similar trajectory to the last young female opera singer to be in the final, Laura Bretan, and the fact she was in the save last week and singer fatigue makes me believe she won't quite make the top 5. Her treatment has been similar to Laura as well so with all of this I can see the placing being similar

      6. Benicio Bryant - I think it can be said that his trajectory in the show is what producers planned for Sophie Pecora before her unlucky elimination. However I don't believe he has as much of a selling point as Sophie that will pull in votes when he's at his prime due to his more generic style and not standing out as much from all the other singers, which is why I believe he will just miss out on the top 5

      5. Ryan Niemiller - Being in the save last week was a knockback but I don't believe that means he's not gonna be top 5, he is a natural on stage and he has clear producer favour on his side and he has the entire comedy demographic to himself, which will get him votes and allow him to stand out enough for a top 5 finish.

      4. Voices of Service - I said after the quarter finals that Voices of Service can surprise as they have a lot going for them. They can pull in votes from two demographics, the ones voting for genuine singing talent as they have that, and the military vote. On Britain's Got Talent that got Colin Thackery to win (despite not having as much singing talent), I don't believe that will happen to VoS as the 3 acts ahead I believe have more voting power but it could get them to a respectable fourth place.

      3. Tyler Butler Figueroa - With the top 2 well in front the race for third has always been an interest. I said from the beginning Tyler would win that and emulate his adult counterpart Brian King Joseph, and although he's had some challenges from others, I believe he will still get that. As the only musician other than a singer he stands out and has some of the abilities to make a show that got BKJ to third. Third also has a history of going to unique acts unlike anything else in the final so he could continue that trend.

      2. Kodi Lee - Now to the battle for the win, Kodi has had producer favour from the start and has a lot going for him, got a golden buzzer in the first audition show pimp slot, always a sign of producer favour, which made it clear he was going to be here for the long haul, and that hasn't changed throughout the live shows as he has continued to move audiences. However the reason I feel like he will be pipped at the post is he doesn't stand out as much as V.Unbeatable due to there being many singers in the final which will hurt his vote, not by much but enough to put him behind...

      1. V.Unbeatable - They were also shown in the first audition show but wasn't favoured as much as Kodi, but since Judge Cuts, they have had clear producer favour and in the live shwos, they habe really pulled out all the stops, even getting a 'best performance ever' tag from Howie. I believe momentum is more on their side whilst Kodi may have peaked a little too early. It is going to be very close, no doubt, I am talking like 1-3% of the vote difference, and it could go either way, but I believe that they will just take it.

There has been speculation about if anyone can surprise and take it from Kodi or V.Unbeatable, but I'd say its very unlikely. The other 4 acts that have avoided a save are Tyler, VoS, Benicio and DYC. Benicio and DYC I don't believe stand out enough to win, and same goes for VoS being a singing act. The only act I believe that has a chance of doing it is Tyler, and although he stands out, he doesn't have as much support as the top 2 so I believe it's very unlikely. In the past, all acts that have surprised and taken it from the favourites, eg. Shin Lim last year, they were in striking distance before the final, I don't believe Tyler is close enough. So I believe it is as it seems, a straight fight between Kodi Lee and V.Unbeatable, that could go either way.

    • The comments on AGT's Instagram seem like most people want either V.Unbeatable or Benicio to win so if they both do well, we may not be seeing Kodi in the top 2.

Could be possible, Snuggle.  With 6 singing acts in this year's top 10, there could be some massive splits among them allowing someone like Benicio to potentially overtake Kodi

        Loading editor
    • And those splits will let Ryan get 3rd.

    • Kodi could also lose votes to Tyler, VoS and DYC. The finale will be story-heavy. People who vote for the backstory instead of the talent will have plenty of different choices.

VUB is very unique but we don’t know how many people supporting variety are still interested in this season and will take time to vote.

Benicio could really be a contender but only if he does very well tonight. I can see A LOT of young people voting for him (fangirls with multiple e-mails included) + he has hometown support + only songwriter left. But if he has his weakest performance, bottom 5 is also a possibility for him.

Last point, I don’t know if it should but DYC’s voting power scares me. They did a HUGE publicity campaign to gain votes and I will be so pissed if somehow they take the whole thing...

Yeah that's what's kind of stupid. V.Unbeatable, Ndlovu, and Light Balance Kids actually have to be very good in order to get votes, while DYC gets votes from Detroit due to the Detroit News networks telling them to vote them no matter if they do well or not. They also have huge families to get additional votes from while the others can't get those votes. Besides, the wear purple day will buy them even MORE votes. Sure, it's the risk of being a foreign act, but no act should be able to get a news network to tell people to vote for them.

    • Not a bad final. Not quite on the level of last year's or Season 11's, but still pretty good.

      - OPINIONS -
      1. V.Unbeatable: Amazing performance as usual. Can these guys please win???
      2. Detroit Youth Choir: That was honestly their worst performance, they redid their audition song (for some reason?????) but their audition was so much better.
      3. Emanne Beasha: That was probably her best performance vocally, but the song choice was bland. She should've saved her last performance for the finals.
      4. Ryan Niemiller: Not as good as last time, unfortunately.
      5. Voices of Service: They were good, but they still haven't topped their Quarterfinals performance.
      6. Light Balance Kids: EASILY their best performance, and in my opinion one of the best performances of the entire season. Incredible.
      7. Benicio Bryant: Pretty bland song. I will say though, even though his songs aren't particularly good, they're radio material.
      8. Tyler Butler-Figueroa: His playing was better than before, but I wasn't as entertained as last time.
      9. Kodi Lee: Better than last time. I won't be upset if he wins, he's a great inspiration.
      10. Ndlovu Youth Choir: These guys might be the biggest dark horse ever on AGT. That was an incredible performance and I'd pay to see these guys. If V.Unbeatable doesn't win, this act would be my next choice.

    • My ranking and please give me your opinion:

      1. V.Unbeatable: I mean, every week they performed, they were the best and this week is no execption. Amazing, just amazing. They MUST win, I mean MUST win. Please PLEASE let them win. There is no other option!

      2. Ndlovu Youth Choir: Stunning. Their energy is so infectous. The choreography, the vocal, everything was just the PERFECT ending to the finale. Their quarters is still my favorite performance of the season. They are just the biggest breath of fresh air. And they had the best roller coaster ever. Winning the judges choice twice and being one of the only contestants to do that, being the first act to close out a night 3 times. So blessed they are in the finals! Favorite act this season along with v unbeat. Incredible!

      3. Kodi Lee: I always thought he was overrated and tiny bit pitchy at times but wow.......he killed, dragged, and buried that shit. It was on pitch and amazing. Still don't want him to win, but wow, he left out on the biggest high note. Amazing!

      4. Light Balance Kids: What a creative awesome amazing idea! That was spectacular and fun! Where do I buy tickets to their Vegas show?

      5. Ryan Niemiller: I was really laughing. That was awesome!

      6. Voices Of Service: Not my favorite performance, but song choice was perfect and vocal was amazing!

      7. Tyler: I don't wanna spell his full name cause idk know how lmao, but he really killed that. I LOVE Survivor and although it wasn't his best performance at all, he did a really good job.

      8. Emanne Beasha: Not my favorite but her voice is just so amazing for her age and it was a great performance!

      9. Benicio Bryant: I really like the song, but chile.......this is the finals. He should've done what he did last week. Disappointed but I still really liked it.

      10. Detroit Youth Choir: Ok so here we are......the only act tonight I didn't like. This wasn't good and I'm not even just saying that cause they did the same song, idk what happened with the soloists or something, everything was just off key and all over the place. Not good.....

    • Honestly this was a surprisingly strong final. Most of the acts that I expected to be middle of the road really turned it out.

Name Image Thoughts DAR'ss Verdict Rank/Vote
      1. V.Unbeatable Vunbeatable Finally. This is what I've been waiting for since the Judge Cuts. Their tricks are always phenomenal, but there was a level of creativity in this week's performance that I've just been missing from them since the lives started. Ended on a strong note. Ovation 5th/9
      2. Detroit Youth Choir Detroityouthchoir For as much negative reviews they got, I'd say before this they've improved each performance. But this was a big step down. I don't think singing their audition song again was a good choice, and overall I just got no personality from them tonight. Nothing 9th/0
      3. Emanne Beasha Emannebeasha This was my favorite opera performance I've ever seen on the show, hands down. Her voice, control and technique are all near perfection. She may give Jackie a run for her money. Ovation 3rd/10
      4. Ryan Niemiller Ryanniemiller Easily my favorite set of his for the season. His charm mixed with his abrupt humor works really well. I don't know if he can win it, but he definitely deserves his spot in the top 10. Nothing 7th/6
      5. Voices of Service Voicesofservice Ngl, I came really close to giving these guys a buzz. Tonight was just a really weak performance from them. I get why they chose the song, but I don't think it worked for them vocal wise since Christel was the only one who sounded on key for the entire performance. Almost makes me wish she was a solo act, since she's been the star of the group from day 1. Nothing 10th/0
      6. Light Balance Kids Lightbalancekids Oddly enough, these guys were the biggest surprise of the night for me. I counted them out, but this performance may have just put them back in contention. The creativity was there in spades, and this kind of fun idea is something I don't think the adult Light Balance would've done so they are stepping into their own at the perfect time. Ovation 2nd/10
      7. Benicio Bryant Beniciobryant Benicio's main talent as he showcased all season is his song writing skills. And I think that rang true tonight. His voice is also strong, he just didn't really own the stage as much as I wished he would've tonight. Nothing 8th/6
      8. Tyler Butler-Figueroa Tylerbutler-figueroa This kid is talented, and I think he showcased it best when he stripped it down to just him and the violin. He did well after, though I still wish he didn't have a vocal track behind him as it distracts from the music he plays. Nothing 6th/7
      9. Kodi Lee Kodilee I don't really have much to say. I've been saying since the start it was his season to win. And I stand by that with this performance he very well would've earned it. He just has a lot more competition then I initially thought. Ovation 1st/10
      10. Ndlovu Youth Choir Ndlovuyouthchoir I'm surprised they got the pimp spot over Kodi, but I'm really glad they did cuz this was a perfect act to end on. They may be my favorite choir the show's had in a while. And even if they have a lot going against them, this performance was their strongest to date and in my eyes would be enough to push them into the upper half. Ovation 4th/10

Looking at the trends of past seasons, my top 5 seems unlikely. But they really are the ones that stood out the most to me tonight. While I may have my money on Kodi, I'd be happy with any of them taking the win tomorrow.

      My Hope:

      • 5th: V.Unbeatable
      • 4th: Ndlovu
      • 3rd: LBK
      • 2nd: Emanne
      • 1st: Kodi

      My Prediction:

      • 5th: Ndlovu
      • 4th: LBK
      • 3rd: Tyler
      • 2nd: V.Unbeatable

    • Ok for me the top 4 is obvious based on how well they are all doing on social media and the praise they are getting. The 5th spot is a toss up between 3 acts.

      My Prediction:

      1. Kodi Lee

      2. V.Unbeatable

      3. Tyler Butler Figueroa

      4. Voices of Service

      5. Ndlovu Youth Choir

      6. Benicio Bryant(could switch with Ndlovu)

      7. Light Balance Kids(see Benicio)

      8. Emanne Beasha

      9. Ryan Niemiller

      10. Detroit Youth Choir(wow the hate they are getting is crazy)

    • Thoughts on the Finale!

V.Unbeatable: They are incredible as always.

Detroit Youth Choir: I actually think it was a mistake to perform the song that they auditioned with. I think that they needed to differentiate themselves from that. Still their performance was fine.

Emanne Beasha: Yeah she was great. Not going to jump loudly on the rooftops declaring it but she did great.

Ryan Niemiller: Again he was super funny but for the finale, he needed to be hysterical and he wasn't unfortunately.

Voices of Service: I actually kinda think the lady in the group doesn't need the other members of the group. Still it will be interesting to see where they place and how far nationalism will take them.

Light Balance Kids: For the first time since the Judge Cuts, they finally had a performance worthy of the Light Balance name. It was technically brilliant, but it still had this innocent charm about it that reminded me of youth. They really delivered tonight!

Benicio Bryant: This is probably my favourite of all his original songs. It reminds me a lot of "Love Yourself" in fact (the Bieber song, but the crappy BTS song).

Tyler Butler-Figueroa: He did pretty well. Yeah no real complaints.

Kodi Lee: V.Unbeatable is sitting backstage going "oh shit". He is magnificent in every sense of the word and is my mind the clear frontrunner to win!

Ndlovu Youth Choir: They elevated that performance up another stratosphere. I still worry about their double Judges' Choice victory that will hinder them, but that performance could land them in the Top 5.

And now for my final FINALE predictions!

      1. Kodi Lee
      2. V.Unbeatable
      3. Benicio Bryant
      4. Ndlovu Youth Choir
      5. Tyler Butler-Figueroa

      6-10: Everyone else.

    • THAT was an epic finals

      Ranking

      10. Detroit Youth Choir: honestly, I can't name one good reason why they made the finals. They are nowhere near the level of the other choir. They actually had a great opportunity to do something big for the finals but blew it by SINGING THE SAME SONG AS THEIR AUDITION.

      9. Benicio Bryant: going to cut it short, I was a bit bored and dissapointed, and that was not a final worthy performance.

      8. Tyler Butler Figoroea: great energy, great song choice, and is a great violin player. But seriously, lose the singing/lyrics, you can barely here the violin.

      7. Voices of Service: The woman completely carried. However, together they are still incredible singers and make a great group with a great background

      6. Emmane Beasha: there is no denying of her talent, but the song choice wasn't as good. Literally any other one of the songs she has previously done would have been amazing for a big final (especially Nessun Dorma)

      5. Light Balance Kids: I cant believe they actually listened to Julianne (didn't know people actually do that) but I liked the "kids" theme they used which separates them from the original Light Balance

      4. Ryan Niemiller: I thought this was a step up from the semifinals, and I actually thought it was really funny. Also, the "it's not made of crackers" part was hilarious

      3. Kodi Lee: AMAZING totally wouldn't be dissapointed at all if he won, it was just this last song was a bit boring for me. Overall definitely deserving to win.

      2. Ndlovu Youth Choir: Waaaaaaaaaaay better that the other choir. It's been 5 hours and I've watched that performance 4 times. I loved everything about it, and I would like to recognize the fact that it is very tiring to sing and dance vigorously throughout the entire song.

      1. V.Unbeatable: great step up from semis, totally should be the first group act and dance crew to win. That weird step thing was awesome by the way.

I actually thought this was a "mega final" as simon would put it, and if a few tweeks were made to acts like DYC and Benicio, it would almost be as good as season 13.

Fun fact: all of semis 2 acts performed as the first five, and the semis 1 acts performed from 6-10

    • My Top 5 prediction will remain the same as before, with Kodi, Tyler, V, Benicio, and VoS in it. Maybe finishing in that order. If we're in for a shocker it might be V finishing 3rd like great acts like them did beforehand.

        Loading editor
    • That are going to pair DYC and NYC together, and if DYC makes it to top 5 instead of NYC, I will literally lose my mind.

(NYC is one of my favourites)

    • My personal top 10:

      10. Ryan Niemiller: I generally don't like stand up comedy, but at the beginning this guy was funny. Tonight he was really booooring, he use always the same jokes.

      9. Benicio Bryant: I hate his fake humility and he's not that special, I didn't enjoy his performances and I don't like his character as well.

      8. Voices of Service: They are good, but they are quite normal. I mean, there's nothing special about their act, it's just a normal choir.

      7. Detroit Youth Choir: I usually love them, but tonight they just did something they have already done before, nothing new. I'm so disapponteeed.

      6. Emanne Beasha: She has an angelic voice and a huge stage presence, she has always done something great, but she never completely fullfilled me tbh.

      5. Light Balance Kids: I love these guys, they are pretty awsome and they always do something really watchable and pleasant. They deserve to be in the Top 5.

      4. Tyler Butler Figueroa: I love this kid so much, he's pretty talented and he has a huge stage presence. Tonight he was at the same level as always, but he was already at an high level so...

      3. Ndlovu Youth Choir: One of my favourite choir ever. Very original, very enoyable and very emotional. Tonight they choose the perfect song to sing and I personally love them even more than the previous times.

      2. Kodi Lee: This guy is awsome, he never disapponted me, he's always on point and I really love him. He's an exampe for everyone to never stop dreaming.

      1. V. Unbeatable: Just wow. These guys are amazing, probably the best dance troupe ever. They deserve to win more than everyone.

    • Not gonna lie, this night surprised me a bit. A lot of improvement was shown here from most of the acts last night. V.Unbeatable, Light Balance Kids, and Emanne Beasha were great as always, but Ndlovu Youth Choir, Tyler and Voices of Service definitely surprised me. Besides the top 2, this night will definitely be a shocker...but V.Unbeatable for the win (since they deserve it the most)!

    • Best case scenario is neither Tyler or DYC make Top 5 but that isn't going to happen.

    • Thoughts:

      1. V.Unbeatable - THAT WAS AMAZING! They stepped it up so much from their previous performances - that was insane. They definitely have a shot at winning after that, and I would be fine with them winning. They definitely just solidified themselves as one of the best dance groups (if not the best) in AGT history.

      2. Detroit Youth Choir - I was surprised by their song choice since they already sang it, but they did make it completely different. It actually ended up being their best performance. They improved a lot, and they might have a shot at making top 5 since people already seem to like them.

      3. Emanne Beasha - That was pretty much up to par with her previous performances. I might have liked her Semifinals more, but this was still a goot performance. I don't think she will make top 5.

      4. Ryan Niemiller - That was definitely Ryan's best performance. I thought it was hilarious. I think that he just gave himself a really good shot at making top 5-3. He deserves it. Ryan is an amazing comedian.

      5. Voices of Service - I thought that their Semifinals was better, just because it was more emotional, but this performance was still great. Their voices sounded great together, and it was a nice way for them to close out their journey. They have a shot at making top 5.

      6. Light Balance Kids - That was easily their best performance of the competition. The dance was great, combined with amazing technology. They really stepped it up, and I hope that America is willing to vote for them, but I'm not sure if they can make top 5. Fingers crossed.

      7. Benicio Bryant - That song was not as good as his last one. It was a great performance and it sounded just like something you would hear on the radio, but I think that his Semifinals was better. I originally thought he would be third or fourth, but after that I'm not sure if he will even be top 5. We'll see.

      8. Tyler Butler-Figueroa - That seems like a really tough song to play on the violin, due to the weirdness of the track at some points. However, I think that Tyler did a great job with it. I loved how he showed us his skills without the track, and it ended up being a great performance. He can place high.

      9. Kodi Lee - That was by far Kodi's best performance. I said his last one was not very emotional, but this one definitely was. It was incredible. V.Unbeatable definitely gave themselves a shot after their outstanding performance, but I think Kodi solidified himself as the winner after that. What he does is amazing, and his singing is also way above average. I would be fine with Kodi or VUB winning, but I still predict Kodi.

      10. Ndlovu Youth Choir - Another amazing performance from Ndlovu. They might be the only act that has consistently improved every single round. That was a great way to close out the season. I hope they can end up in the top 5, but I don't think they will. However, Carebare might be right about one choir being in top 5 and one choir being in top 5.

      Final, Final Predictions:

1st Place: Kodi Lee, Singer and Pianist

2nd Place: V.Unbeatable, Acrobatic Dance Group

      3rd Place: Tyler Butler-Figueroa, Violinist

    • Some predictions for the results.

I think the top 4 is very predictable.

      1. Kodi 2. VUB 3. Tyler 4. VoS

For the 5th spot it will be most likely between Benicio, Ryan and DYC.

Ndlovu Youth Choir did really great but I don’t think they will have enough support to be top 5.

Emanne stepped down from last time when she needed to be saved so lock for bottom 5.

LBK did good but they won’t have enough support imo because it’s basically nothing new.

      Some overall thoughts :

I don’t think V.Unbeatable will but I hope they will get support after AGT to progress as a group and to be even better than now. They have great potential.

Talking about potential, Benicio has the most of it from all the ten acts. His target demographic is going crazy for him. The problem with him is that he picked the worst year to compete on the show. It was obvious during the live shows that his voice was changing and getting deeper so it made him look bad vocal-wise sometimes. I could really see him being on AGT Champions in 2-3 years and absolutely kill it.

DYC & Tyler are no where near the level of the eight others. Even if all the acts are not necessarily my thing, I can see talent/potential in all of the other 8. For these 2, their talent is clearly not the reason they are here.

    • Review for the performances last night!

1st. V.Unbeatable- WOW WOW WOW! This performance was scary, exciting and very dangerous! Easily one of there best performances my a mile! I actually hope they win but i'll get to who I think will win soon! (9/10)

2nd. Detroit Youth Choir- They did there audition song and managed to make it worst then there own audition, i'm not gonna hate on them for using the same song but at this time, it's not the right time to re use a song you've already sang. But God bless Mr.White (6/10)

3rd. Emanne Beasha- Am I the only one who wasn't a fan of this? I mean it was good don't get me wrong but she has impressed me more other times then this time. Her voice is still AMAZING! (6/10)

4th. Ryan Niemiller- WOW! This was awesome! He was so funny this time, probably his best performance in my opinion. He delievered his jokes very well and his personality is just awesome! I can see him sneaking his way into top 5 (8/10)

5th. Voices of Service- I'm not gonna lie, this was actually pretty good. Not as good as there semi's in my opinion but still, it was great! Even though I didn't know the song, it was still awesome! I will continue to support them tonight! (8/10)

6th. Light Balance Kids- Like Emanne, I feel like i'm the only one who didn't like this, I was very disappointed to be honest. I mean, the beginning was really good but then from there, it got boring for me. If they get top 5, good for them but I don't think this performance was enough (5/10)

7th. Benicio Bryant- For him being my favorite of the season, I thought that this was good. Easily not as good as semi's or JC. I can't say i'm disappointed he just screwed up his chances at 1,000,000 dollars. I will say this was his best performance vocally and the song was very well written, I feel like he could slip into top 5 but now I don't think that will happen anymore. (8/10)

8th. Tyler Butler-Figueroa- I know a lot of people are gonna disagree with me, but this was actually REALLY good! The song choice was really nice as well! He just KILLED IT! This performance just put me in a great mood and I was so proud since he is one of my favorites of the season! I feel like he can be top 3! (9/10)

9th. Kodi Lee- Now this, this is a winner performance. I think at this point he has to win because this performance was so good it makes no sense. He continued to impress me and he has gained my respect. Easily his best performance my a mile, and probably one of my favorite performances in the history of the show! (9/10)

10th. Ndlovu Youth Choir- WOW! What a way to end the show, they were so good and the song choice was AWESOME! This performance was not there best in my opinion but I enjoyed this so much, and it was very worthy of the pimp shot (8/10)

      Now my prediction:

      Top 5:

      1st. Kodi Lee

      2nd. V.Unbeatable

      3rd. Tyler Butler-Figueroa

      4th. Benicio Bryant

      5th. Ryan Niemiller

      Bottom 5:

      Emanne Beasha

      Voices of Service

      Detroit Youth Choir

      Ndlovu Youth Choir

      Light Balance Kids

    • 𝑽.𝑼𝒏𝒃𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆: This was my favorite act of the night. Their dance moves are INCREDIBLY creative, tight, and in-sync. Their tricks were death-defying, nail-biting, and just awesome to watch. They even incorporated the set into the act, like when someone flipped from the balcony and when they danced on the cubes in the background. Just a great performance all around.

𝑫𝒆𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒊𝒕 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒉𝒐𝒊𝒓: This was my least favorite performance of the night. Firstly, the fact that they reused their audition song is quite lazy and they butchered it pretty badly. I saw an article explaining that they wanted to show how they've deviated from their start on the show, but I think that that's just a coverup story honestly. The performance merely felt underwhelming compared to many of the other acts on tonight, especially compared to Ndlovu Youth Choir. I don't understand why they are always the ones that pop up first whenever I search AGT, especially when they are completely outclassed by Ndlovu. Their vocals just aren't on par with Ndlovu's, and their dancing just doesn't feel like enough to compensate for this. It honestly feels like something I'd see in a subway station instead of a million-dollar show.

𝑬𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆 𝑩𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒉𝒂: She's a great singer, but tonight I just think she's going to get drowned out by the other talents. She has an amazing voice, but she's very comparable to Laura Bretan and Jackie Evancho in that you couldn't tell the difference between any of them if you closed your eyes. Maybe the song choice didn't do it for me, I don't know. She desperately needed to step up to do well this episode, and unfortunately, she just didn't achieve that.

𝑽𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒄𝒆: They all have incredible voices, no doubt. I enjoyed this song a little bit more than their previous ones and I have no clue why honestly. But honestly, they should've brought back the backing choir. It just added so much to their act. There wasn't enough to this act for me to put it up with all of my favorites.

𝑹𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝑵𝒊𝒆𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒆𝒓: This was surprisingly my favorite set of his. Even if he's telling a joke that isn't the best, he can sell it pretty well with his delivery. He's just so likable, which is very important to be a successful standup comedian. I don't know if he's a million-dollar act, but he's going places.

𝑳𝒊𝒈𝒉𝒕 𝑩𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒄𝒆 𝑲𝒊𝒅𝒔: Probably the biggest step up in the Finale alongside Tyler, they sold their act well tonight. The "Kids" theme showed here. There was just a lot of imagination put into this act, and it was quite enjoyable. Unfortunately, I don't think they'll be in the Top 5 because America is stupid, but I can dream.

𝑩𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒐 𝑩𝒓𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒕: A step in the wrong direction. His previous performance was quite good, but tonight I think that nerves might've gotten to him. I heard his voice crack a couple of times, and it sounded a little off to me. Amazingly, he's writing some pretty good songs and singing them at age 14, but tonight wasn't his night.

𝑻𝒚𝒍𝒆𝒓 𝑩𝒖𝒕𝒍𝒆𝒓-𝑭𝒊𝒈𝒖𝒆𝒓𝒐𝒂: This was his best performance by a landslide, but it still didn't feel like enough for me. His song choice was great this time, but is this something I can see headlining a show in Vegas and something worthy of a million dollars? No. He just doesn't have the stage presence that Brian King Joseph had, and his background music just drowns his violin playing out. He doesn't have any personality either, he's just that "kid who survived cancer" and nothing else because you don't get any personality from him in his intro packages. Marcin Patrzalek was just a lot better in my opinion.

𝑲𝒐𝒅𝒊 𝑳𝒆𝒆: It was a little bit pitchy, but he did great tonight. He's the clear front-runner this season and he's maintained that throughout each performance, but I still want V.Unbeatable to win a lot more than I want him to. But I wouldn't be too angry if he won instead.

𝑵𝒅𝒍𝒐𝒗𝒖 𝒀𝒐𝒖𝒕𝒉 𝑪𝒉𝒐𝒊𝒓: I wasn't expecting them to get the pimp spot at all, but I'm very happy that they did. Detroit Youth Choir should take notes here, as Ndlovu Youth Choir is honestly the best choir I've seen on AGT. They have a great personality, they bring joy every time they take the stage, their vocals are incredible, and they have some passable dancing to top it off. I'd LOVE it for them to win, but unfortunately, the Detroit vote will place them below Detroit Youth Choir.

So those are my opinions. It was an okay final, but the clear frontrunners were Ndlovu Youth Choir, V.Unbeatable, and Light Balance Kids.

I vote based on genuine talent, not on emotion, and in my opinion I think Kodi is greater on talent than V. Unbeatable. I know 75% of this wikia is a V. Unbeatable lover over Kodi so obviously I’ll get some disagreement for this, but i’m just stating my opinion.

    • I knew it was going to be a fascinating result but this final, with a weird running order and so many acts we weren't expecting much from delivering and putting themselves with a good shot of getting the best of the rest spot behind Kodi and V.Unbeatable. Most notably, the running order seems to have tainted V.Unbeatable's advantage that they held going into this week and made it even closer between the two than it was before.

Performing first was not ideal for V.Unbeatable, but in a show where the vote opens before the performances and with no other acts really coming close to them for a while, they certainly weren't forgettable especially with an absolute knockout performance, one of the best performances ever in Got Talent history in my opinion. They had a favourable edit that honoured their co-founder Vikas, and the performance certainly lived up to that. I believe the fact no one immediately following really came close to living up to that and the fact that the vote opens before the show, so no doubt they will have dominated the early votes during the show, effectively giving them a head start will taint their disadvantage of performing first.

Kodi Lee had a more favourable running order slot, but it wasn't a pimp slot that would've easily seen him move ahead of V.Unbeatable. It was a real moment though and the VT, which showed off his personality, was favourable, whilst his performance had a winner's vibe about it, as well as the judges praise. But in his area of the show he didn't stand out as much as V.Unbeatable, especially with a well received performance from Ndlovu following him. But he is still very much in everyone's minds.

Saying that, I get the feeling it is going to be incredibly close between the two of them. There is going to be a massive vote split, both contenders will get a huge number of votes from many demographics, which will see the end vote being incredibly close, could even be under 1% of the vote between them. And right now I have no idea which way it'll go.

In terms of the rest, the biggest mover who could potentially finish in the top 5 is Ndlovu Youth Choir. They gave a well received performance from the pimp slot, with a favourable edit from the judges which could see them in the top 5. Tyler Butler-Figueroa and Voices of Service received favourable edits but the former's performance hasn't been as well received as his others which could hurt him, but I believe he will still finish in the top 5. That means Ryan Niemiller will likely make way unfortunately despite a solid performance, he was kind of lost in the shuffle in his running order slot.

In terms of the rest, Benicio Bryant received a favourable edit but the performance didn't seem to match up to expectations of the public. Light Balance Kids gave an amazing performance but in this field will likely struggle to make top 5. Emanne Beasha also gave a solid performance but performing an unknown song and the running order caused her to get lost in the shuffle. Whilst Detroit Youth Choir had the most unfavourable draw of the night, coming after V.Unbeatable and receiving an end of journey edit, whilst their fellow choir gave a solid performance from the pimp slot. Despite their support from Detroit, that probably won't be enough to get them anywhere in this field.

      So my final prediction is;

      10. Detroit Youth Choir

      9. Emanne Beasha

      8. Benicio Bryant

      7. Light Balance Kids

      6. Ryan Niemiller

      5. Tyler Butler-Figueroa

      4. Ndlovu Youth Choir

      3. Voices of Service

      2. Kodi Lee

      1. V.Unbeatable

I still wish Valerie had gotten 4 X's in Judge Cuts.  Perhaps we'll see her again tonight if they're doing Audition All-Stars this year? I'm surprised none of the judges mentioned or noticed the fact that DYC reprised their audition song last night

I 100% agree. V.Unbeatable is amazing and I would love for them to win on another season, but I think Kodi Lee is one of the most talented acts in Got Talent history. You can't just ignore his story because that is part of why he is so talented. Very few people can do what he does. His talent is not just his great singing ability, but his ability to do that and play the piano despite what he is dealing with. It is unfair to ignore Kodi's story and just focus on his singing because his story is an essential part of his act (Like Mandy Harvey or Brian King Joseph). I love V.Unbeatable, but Kodi is the most talented person this season imo.

I think you know that's not really a fair comparison. Valerie's songs were both awful and she wouldn't have done well even with a different song.

    • Repeating an Audition song I don't think is a terrible idea, especially for the finale. Though if an act was to take that route it's better if they change or elevate it in some way. Which DYC failed to really do.

    • No surprise regarding Kodi's inevitable victory, but I'm questioning some of these results.  DYC, who reprised their audition song, got second?  VUB, who was the biggest threat to Kodi, 4th?  Ndlovu, who was way better than DYC, in the bottom 5?  I am absolutely shocked!

        Loading editor
    • Voting for someone because they live in a certain part of the US is NOT a reason to vote for somebody. It's actually unfair how acts like Detroit Youth Choir got endorsement from the LOCAL NEWS, which told people to VOTE FOR THEM just because they were from Detroit. I don't understand what America saw in this choir, it was basically a glorified school choir with forgettable dancing and lackluster vocals. Not only were they lazy enough as to not choose a new song for BOTH of their Finals performances (I mean, I get the idea behind it the first time, but the second time seemed to be out of pure laziness) but they beat the choir that outclassed them in vocals and personality. I bet if V.Unbeatable danced the incredible way they did AND sang like Emanne, they would've STILL lost to DYC.

V.Unbeatable getting 4th place was SHOCKING. However, I was pleasantly surprised with Ryan Niemiller getting 3rd. DYC 2nd place just makes no sense to me.

Anyways, in all seriousness. The Top 5 were surprising to say the least. Outside of Kodi and V.Unbeatable, the other members were shocking. I thought Tyler and Emanne were shoo-ins and Ryan making it as far as he did was a pleasant surprise. There was a part of me that worried that DYC would win and I remember some rando who predicted DYC to win and I thought it would've been wild if that guy was right, but nope it's Kodi.

In all earnest, having another singing winner is not good and we are going another year with having no group of more than 2 people win the show again and honestly V.Unbeatable probably should've won, but of all the singers, I am happy that it was Kodi and I will make an acception because he is such a special find.

    • Well since Season 14 is finally over, I can do a review, I give it a 7/10. It wasn’t as good as 2017 or 2018 or even as good as 2016 or 2015. We got an energetic host, judge panel is good, but my main problem is the golden buzzers. This is probably the only year, I could be wrong, with things relating to music expect for one act, which is Light Balance Kids. There were some terrible golden buzzers (I’m looking at you Sophie Pecora). So in all honestly, this will probably be the most forgettable season in the entire series.

The good thing is that they have guest judges in the semifinals. That is good, but for the results they aren’t there. That’s my problem, they don’t bring them for semifinal results, they can break the tie for Dunkin Save. There were a lot more problems, what I want to see one Season 15 is more talent than this year. It was ok, but not as good as we all want it.

    • I think producers were happy with Kodi winning, but I don't think it being such an anticlimax the way it was was what producers intended. They intended it to be the Kodi v V.Unbeatable showdown we have been bigging up for so long but I believe they made a miscalculation. And what happened behind kind of overshadowed the significance of Kodi Lee's victory.

I said in my post before the result that performing first around acts that clearly aren't at their level would've got them a head start in the vote and mitigated the disadvantage of performing first. That was their intention, but they underestimated DYC in particular and it was them that took that voting head start that also had the effect of suppressing V.Unbeatable enough to put them behind Ryan, who also performed close and no doubt got early votes as well with an incredible performance. My guess is V.Unbeatable topped last week's vote and they thought they could get away with it and also suppress DYC who I believe wasn't in the producers top 5 picture (considering their unfavourable edit) by having them follow one of the winning contenders. But my guess is increased attention for DYC in Detroit due to them being in the final got them more voting power than before kind of resulted in the complete opposite, it ended up suppressing V.Unbeatable, enough to even put them behind another act that they'd previously beat.

I want to state that Detroit Youth Choir aren't as bad as people are making out to be. In fact in many other seasons they would be a worthy top 5 contender. It's just they were not at the level of many of the acts they ended up beating and clearly finished as high as they did due to having a big location such as Detroit behind them. I wonder what this is going to mean for shows going forward. Most acts will probably have their hometown voting for them, but if an act so obviously hails from a big city like Detroit, they could end up being unstoppable despite having less talent than some of the acts they beat. DYC had the most unfavourable edit of the evening, following V.Unbeatable with end of journey treatment and performing in the death slot of second. But still managed to finish ahead of acts such as Ryan Niemiller, Voices of Service, Tyler Butler-Figueroa, fellow choir Ndlovu Youth Choir, and even V.Unbeatable who they looked weak against. That shows the power of DYC's fanbase. If that can happen, this can so easily result in an unfavoured act winning the show. So will producers be running scared from acts that so obviously hail from a major location? Or will they do some sort of change to the voting format (maybe points based on ranking in a particular region) to prevent an act having an advantage due to obviously hailing from a large city? I believe this has had an unfortunate effect on DYC as it has made them look bad when they aren't.

As I said this kind of ruined the tension that was in the air before the results were announced, and overshadowed the seminal moment that Kodi Lee's victory was and resulted in it being an anticlimax. It was disappointing we didn't get the showdown between Kodi Lee and V.Unbeatable that we were all anticipating, but producers will likely learn their lessons from their miscalculations that will be taken into account going forward into future Got Talent/Syco produced shows. And in the end amongst all of this carnage and controversy, we got a winner that the show will no doubt be proud of. Like Lost Voice Guy's BGT victory, Kodi's victory was a seminal moment in TV to show disability is no barrier to success, and he is a winner that the show will likely be proud of. It was a shame his victory had to be surrounded in so much controversy unrelated to him but he still won it and will be one of the show's most memorable victors.

I wish AGT would release the voting stats as they would be very interesting to look at.

I agree with most expect for season 10. It was better than season 14.

The main reason I hated Season 10 so much is because it was the start of some really bad changes in the show's format (Judge Cuts, barely any Wild Cards, only three Quarterfinals, no final round after the Top 10, etc.) and also because there weren't really any "WOW" acts that season, at least not for me.

I feel like I probably am being too harsh on Season 9 though, it's probably at least a little better than Season 12 was.

Hopefully Season 15 is good though. Here's my new ranking of the seasons:

      8 > 13 > 11 > 14 > 7 > 12 > 9 > 10

I agree with you on most stuff but S14 easily was the worst.

I have to disagree with most of your opinions.

Don’t listen to them, they are just being salty that they lost.

    • A little bit sad V unbeatables didn't win, but at least the Detroit peeps didn't win.

    • DYC winning would've ranked them amongst the worst of AGT winners.

Though to be fair, three years in a row, the host's GB has made the Top 3 at least.

    • Simon's GB has made the Top 5 three years in a row too. And none of Howie's GB's have made the Top 5 for three years

      Ummm... That's wrong

      Simon's S14 GB was Tyler Butler-Figureoa. He didn't make the Top 5.

Yeah I was just about to fix that but you were too fast, I was going to correct it to "Top 10" lol

    • I wonder if Dyc would have even made it to the semis without begging the whole city of Detroit to vote for them

    • also just thought i'd post this controversial comment deadly games made:

"I think is the very first time in agt history that everyone agrees on who is the winner , I’m sure that even the others contestants agreed that Kodi Lee deserved to win ."

pretty sure that that crying girl from v unbeatable and all of dyc didn't agree but go off

I would totally agree! Acts like Tyler, Benicio and Ndlovu deserved to be in top 5 over DYC. Since those 3 I would've much prefered to be top 5 over DYC.
