Background[]

Tummy Talk's members are from Salt Lake City, Utah. Their dream is to give up their day jobs so they can focus on making music. A Tummy Talk video released in January 2013 has garnered over 4 million hits on YouTube [1].

The group is comprised of drummers Matt Nickle, Liahona Seumanu, Tyrell Shepherd, and "drum" Niuvaai Luamanuvae. Niuvaai is a youth counselor.

Audition[]

Tummy Talk's audition in Episode 806 consisted of three of its members slapping Niuvaii, the heaviest member, around his body to create percussion sounds. After the members' performance, they tried their slapping act on Nick Cannon. Although Howard Stern voted "No," Heidi KlumMel B, and Howie Mandel all voted "Yes," sending Tummy Talk to the Vegas Round.

Vegas Round[]

Tummy Talk was one of thirty acts to advance straight to the Quarterfinals in New York without performing in Las Vegas in Episode 808.

Quarterfinals[]

Tummy Talk's Week 4 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 816 consisted of "drumming" on Niuvaai's body as in their audition, but the group garnered additional members who played on actual drums. The performance had a wrestling match theme. The performance ended with Niuvaii refusing pushing one of the drummers down as "retaliation." Howie Mandel buzzed the act. Tummy Talk did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Semifinals in Episode 817, eliminating it from the competition along with David Ferman, SensEtion, and The Robotix.
