ZOOperstars! was a dance group from Season 3 of America's Got Talent. It was eliminated in the Semifinals.
Background[]
The ZOOperstars! began with 30 shows in 1998, then jumped to 85 shows in 1999. Currently, the ZOOperstars! perform at more than 200 shows a year.
Success can be attributed to the uniqueness of the costumes and character name They flip, they bounce, they shake, they dance and they just flat out jam.
Whether they are wildly dancing on a court, creating havoc on top of a dugout, sliding silly around on the ice or mingling with the audience, the ZOOperstars! aim to command any crowd's undivided attention.
The creators and performers of this completely unique show have a combined total of over 80 years of entertainment experience and have performed for over 30 million fans in the United States, Canada, Italy, Puerto Rico, Mexico, Taiwan, and Japan. Just in the past couple of years, the crazy antics of the ZOOperstars! have been highlighted on many national media outlets including ESPN, ESPN2, CNN Headline News, Fox SportsNet, and the NBC Today Show. Shark McGwire even appeared in a national Nike ad. 1
Audition[]
ZOOperstars!'s audition in Episode 305 consisted of dancing to "Tootsee Roll". Although Piers voted "no" David & Sharon voted "Yes", sending the group to the Vegas Round.
Vegas Round[]
ZOOperstars! was one of the Variety Acts in the Vegas Round. It was sorted into the "Dance" category. The group's performance in Episode 308 was not fully televised, but it consisted of dancing in new mascot costumes to Rednex's "Cotton Eye Joe". ZOOperstars!'s audition was strong enough for the judges to include it in the Top 60 shortlist and to later send it to the Top 40 Quarterfinals in Episode 309.
Quarterfinals[]
ZOOperstars!' Part 2 Quarterfinals performance in Episode 311 consisted of dancing as a group to "Macho Man" and "Y.M.C.A." The routine consisted of members of the group riding on a scooter, stripping, skateboarding, and "swallowing" an AGT crew member. Piers Morgan buzzed the act. ZOOperstars! finished in either fifth or sixth place in America's Vote. In the Judges' Choice, although Piers did not vote for the group, Sharon Osbourne and David Hasselhoff both did, sending it to the Semifinals in Episode 312 instead of Beyond Belief Dance Company.
Semifinals[]
ZOOperstars!' Part 1 Semifinals performance in Episode 314 consisted of dancing as a group to C+C Music Factory's "Gonna Make You Sweat" The routine consisted of feats such as members of the group pretending to sing, somersaults, dropping to the floor from the ceiling, and an attempt to walk a tightrope. Piers Morgan buzzed the act. ZOOperstars! did not receive enough votes to be sent to the Top 10, eliminating the group from the competition in Episode 316 instead of The Wright Kids.

Trivia[]
ZOOperstars! were the first quarterfinalist to be buzzed by a judge that nevertheless proceeded to the Semifinals. They were succeeded by The Tapping Dads, Tony Hoard & Rory , Maestro Alexander Bui, Steven Retchless and Aaron Crow.
